Sipdown!

I had this tea cold brewed the other day. I may have perhaps let it linger in my fridge just a bit too long because it was very tart and had an unpleasant bite to the end of each sip. I also may have slightly over leafed because I was trying to use up what I had left of this. It was still drinkable, and still smelled fabulous, it just was not the best I have had of this blend. It isn’t one I would seek out again.

Sipdown!

I like this tea. It is very unique I feel. I couldn’t add these to the flavours and scents tab but you do get a definite cumin hint and pistachio note. While I very much enjoy this tea I don’t feel it tastes at all like a cookie. It does have a faint buttery-ness but it is more of a spicy nut tea. I will likely buy this again, but not until I get a lot of sipdowns done!

Flavors: Almond, Nutty, Spicy

Look at you and your sipdowns! Nicely done!

Thanks, & you too Nichole! You’ve been kicking them back as well! :)

Nichole/CuppaGeek

Haha! I’m definitely trying. Hey hon, I sent you a PM back. See if you got it. If not, let me know and I’ll send it. I had a question for you.

TeaNTees

Hmm, nope. I haven’t gotten a PM from you in quite a while. What’s up?

TeaNTees

I sent you a PM; please let me know if you don’t receive it.

Warning: I have no clue how old the sample of this I had was. That being said, the bit that I tried was pretty good. I had the first cup hot where it had a mild root beer flavour. The rest I cold brewed in my fridge for about 48 hours or so. It became quite dark so I feared for bitterness. Luckily I received none and was treated to a nice Sarsaparilla taste. Sadly though I didn’t have any buttery /butterscotch like flavour to make it special. It was just a nice sarsaparilla.

I had this tea some time ago so forgive my lack of specific details! I do know that i really was fond of it. I thought the gingerbread flavour was quite authentic and tasty. I only had enough for one cup so I wasn’t able to try it cold-brewed. This is more of a hot tea anyway, at least in my mind. I may have to seek this one out when the weather gets colder. :)

I had this a few days ago and I very much enjoyed the combination of fruity, wine-esque flavour with the black base. The rose was a wisp of freshness added to the loveliness. I wouldn’t hesitate to have another cuppa if the opportunity presented itself.

Flavors: Champagne, Fruity, Rose, Strawberry

Preparation

I like this one quite a bit.

I am going to to elect not to rate this tea at this time. I have had 2 cups of it thus far and, while it is a tasty tea, I am just having a hard time discerning each particular flavour from it. The aroma of the dry leaf is wonderful. Upon steeping you lose a lot of the scent though. Taste wise I vaguely get a honey note, and perhaps the faintest hint of a nut-like flavour but that’s about it. I am not sure if it is my taste buds causing this, so I will keep trying and maybe elect to rate this tea later.

Delightful. Wonderful. Great. Lovely. I could go on, but I’m sure you get the gist. This tea is bright, smooth, and rich. The flavours of honey and baked bread encompass your taste buds, with a light fruity back to them. So well done. Definitely a Butiki! :)

A great debt is owed to the awesome Liquid Proust for providing me with a bit of this fantastic tea that I never thought I’d be able to enjoy again!

I hated this tea. It did not taste like caramel at all to me. It had a mysterious flavour that I was not at all fond of, & it made my stomach upset. I will not try it again. It was one of the very few teas I’ve dumped out instead of finishing. I think I only have a little left and I will be putting it in the Not My Cup of Tea TTB when It comes to me. The Tea Table has many better teas than this.

Distinct strawberry flavour that wasn’t overly artificial was the first note I made about this tea. The chocolate comes in more toward the end of the sip with a very dark or semi sweet chocolate taste. It seemed to be a very realistic interpretation of a dark chocolate covered strawberry in tea form. I will say that I don’t believe I detected any Saffron but honestly it wasn’t too much an issue. As the tea cools the chocolate becomes more of the focus with the strawberry being the supportive taste. I found I was pleased with Tea Guys adaptation of the strawberry/chocolate combination. It isn’t one of the flavour combinations I seek out often, but it was a nice change of pace. :)

drank Kiwi Cheesecake Oolong by 52teas

This is a nice soft Banana Oolong. The banana is not artificial tasting and the oolong tastes great. The flavor of the light banana and creamy oolong compliment each other well. I enjoyed 3 steeps of this tea and enjoyed all of them.

Yes, I am aware that this is a note for kiwi cheesecake oolong. If those flavours are what you are searching for I’m afraid you will have to look elsewhere. This is definitely a banana oolong. I have not detected even the slightest hint of kiwi or cheesecake, not even a “crust-esque” flavour.
So I won’t be rating this tea today. As a kiwi cheesecake tea it fails miserably. As a banana oolong it is delectable and dainty. Interesting, isn’t it?

Flavors: Creamy

Preparation

I never got banana from this but everybody else did. It was just a weird off flavor to me. Maybe because my brain was searching for the kiwi cheesecake notes?

Very interesting!

Retrogamer, tea enthusiast, and all around geeky gal. Let’s have a spot, shall we?

I enjoy most black, green, white, oolong (not too mineral-y), rooibos (green too), and various herbal teas. Oh, & I love guayusa. :}

My most searched for flavours include coconut, maple, melon, lychee, pumpkin, and ANYTHING reminiscent of cake. but I am open to try just about anything. I am not too fond of exceptionally fake tasting peach, grape, or lemon flavours, or Earl Grey teas either.

I have no allergies or food sensitivities.
