Not My Cup O’ Tea TTB
Something about this tea just wasn’t right. I don’t know if, to me, the lemongrass just felt out of place or what. I only had one steep and threw the leaves away. It was an odd chai.

I bumped this up a bit because I find it slightly unique and flavourful. The taste was so authentic. I think they did a nice job blending it. I’d have it again some day, but not for a bit.

Not bad. I had this cold brewed last night and it was okay. It wasn’t anything I’d seek out, but it was a refreshing cold brew on a warm afternoon. It had a lime & light hibiscus flavour. There was no bitterness and it wasn’t overly tart, which I appreciated.

My day has been so very stressful. People have just continually came by and pilled up work onto my desk. It is a disaster at this point. I have far too many things to do and not nearly enough time to complete them. Sigh; at least there’s tea.
Currently, this Jasmine oolong is to me a warm blanket on a chilly day. It is helping me keep my irritation in check and enjoy just a small bit of peace during my work day. It is floral and slightly perfume-y in the best possible way. The green oolong flavour balances perfectly with the floral taste .This tea is quite nice both hot and cold brewed as well. The other afternoon I enjoyed a cold brew of this because it was very warm outside. It was such a delight. It is a cuppa lovely when I need it most. Thank heaven for tea.

Oh dear, what have I just sipped? I had this last night and it was not at all to my tastes. It brewed up amazingly dark, and left a good deal of “grit” in my tea cup. It did have a chocolate-y scent but the taste was all malty barley with a horrid bitterness towards the end of the sip. There was a light flavour of baker’s chocolate, but that bitterness ruined any joy I might have gotten from this tea. Not a fan what so ever. So, I’m glad this was a..

I surprisingly found this tea quite good. I am a big fan of Cardamom in general, (but wait, isn’t it cardamon?) Anyway, the flavour really stood out with a strong black base. I had no bitterness through any of the cups I steeped of this, but a light astringency toward the bottom. I did not add anything to it though, mind you. I would be glad to have it again if given the chance.

Today’s blog post was for #12. Woohoo! I had to resist an urge to buy more of today’s tea. I really really liked it.

Thanks MissB for the sample! I had this last night while I watched a movie. It was a lighter Thai tea and to truly bring out the flavours I added some honey and a splash of almond milk. Generally I’m not a fan of adding any dairy (or in my case “dairy”) to my teas, but the only exception to that is Thai and Chai teas. I found this one to be light in taste with no noticeable specific spices, just a conglomeration of them as a whole. It was alright but I prefer something with a bit more heft. I do appreciate the chance to try it though! :)

Farewell banana oolong delight! I will sort of miss you because I don’t think I’ve ever had a banana oolong before and I did enjoy it.

It will probably be longer than a month. I have to plan my ‘menu’ a couple of months in advance to make sure I’ve got what I need on hand. So, I probably won’t be planning on the banana Oolong until after the first of the year, especially since I have the holidays coming up and banana is not really a ‘holiday’ flavor to me.

I had this tea first hot and then cold brewed overnight.
I enjoyed it hot more as I did get a slight ginger note and a fruity crispness from it. It was an interesting flavour combination with the green-black blend.
The cold brew was less flavourful and more of a run of the mill green with almost no other facets to it. I wasn’t impressed to be honest. If I ever got this again I would brew it up hot. Of course, that is only my opinion though. :)
