2291 Tasting Notes
I received this while ago from Roswell Strange and for some reason hadn’t tried it!
And now that I have, I’m sad! It was so good. Fruity and with a bit of a spicy kick. I guess I’d call it plums and black pepper, but honestly I wasn’t awake enough to make that kind of distinction.
Made with a touch of milk.
Preparation
Woo! I have more of this left than I thought I did! Enough for a GIANT POT or two more big mugs.
Apples and cinnamons and some light sweetness. I added honey by pouring the tea back and forth into a scraped clean honey jar. Just enough was left to add a touch to this tea. It just brings out the apple, and it’s so good.
ALSO, I made a pair of “jeans” last night. By “jeans” I mean they are stretch denim with none of the topstitching and they have an elastic waist. Haha. I wore them to work today and OMG, like wearing PJs. Too bad wearing them makes me feel old.
Oh well. Comfort over, well, most things really.
Preparation
Noooooo, so comfy! They aren’t skin tight, they’re just slim cut trousers, made out of a stretchy dark denim! I see this style/shape of pants in some of the “old lady” brands, which I think is hilarious. Old ladies know where it’s at with the elastic waists. ;)
I live for stretch, man. Yesterday I debuted a new skirt I bought largely because it cost under £10 and had pockets, but that I thought was quite cool, and I swear that with the top and cardigan I had on, I looked like SUCH a grandma. I used to look cool! weeps
A friend gave me a bunch of pants from Ricki’s recently, and they all look like dress pants but they’re soft and stretchy and feel like wearing yoga pants. It’s the best.
Mmm…. steeped a bit longer than usual today, and it’s so good! Why haven’t I steeped this tea for 5 minutes before?
It’s not super sweet, but there is some caramel. Lots of tea flavour. So good with milk.
(This one is almost a sip down as well. I have quite a collection I could finish! Maybe this coming weekend. :) )
Preparation
I’m sad that I only have 1 tsp left of this tea!
Oh well. It’s been a good run and I’ve enjoyed it. Maybe once my cupboard is smaller I’ll consider stocking it, because I do like how it tastes (little chocolate, little cream, little booze) and the name is HILARIOUS.
Preparation
Caramel flavoured gunpowder + black tea. At least, that’s what I can tell. The gunpowder was really spinachy for me tonight, and really… caramel is not a sauce I’d put on my spinach.
Otherwise, this tea is fun. And I love caramel. So I’ve drunk it all.
Thanks so much, Shmiracles! I think I’m almost through all the samples you gave me oh so long ago. :)
Preparation
You never know! Someone might decide that spinach and caramel should be The Dish for a fancy restaurant! ;)
haha I was thinking that as I wrote it but you never know what people grab on to. Perhaps the use of spinach might lead people to believe there is health benefits to the pair just making it part of the health food trend. lol
Oh no! This one isn’t in my list. I think I got it from Dinosara? Maybe? Well, thank you, swap friend who shared this with me.
I still really like it.
Really caramelly. Very much the “Fauchon” taste again. Lovely with some milk.
I’d buy it, if it were readily available to me!
Not as amazing as usual this morning. What did I do wrong? Is it because I’m craving a coffee? A huge mug of coffee? Mmm… Coffee.
I’m almost ready to break into another package of this tea! That’s exciting. :)
I still love it. SO licoricey, no sweet aftertaste. THE BEST.
What’s also super fun is that once it’s steeped the leaves turn a mossy green. Whee!
Preparation
This isn’t my favourite tea because the rooibos is kinda heavy and overly present. However, it smells divine and has worked out really well this evening with half a spoon of Teavana’s Limeade Twist and 1/4 tsp honey.
Yum.
I think I need more.
