2291 Tasting Notes
This is quite oolongy. But good. The first steep was only 2 minutes and it was a bit weak. So I steeped again for 4 minutes but most of the caramelly flavours had dispersed into the first cup.
So while it’s pretty good, I think that an initial steep of 3-4 minutes would be better.
So. Tea. Yep.
Tea and cupcakes.
I bought this. I’m drinking this. I like this.
Yay tea.
Boo packing.
I would just like to say for the record that this doesn’t seem to have any coconut in it, and the DavidsTea one does. Also, I’ve only had the DavidsTea one once as a to go tea and I really disliked it…
I actually think that this tea is pretty good! Apparently it’s peaches and apricots. It smells strongly of peaches when dry, but when cooked the apricot comes out a bit more. I’m sipping on it tonight hot, and quite enjoy it. I hope it does well as a cold brew, but even if it doesn’t I don’t mind brewing it hot and pouring it over ice.
3 tsp in a big mig for 4 min at 200F.
Had a taste of this from a sample pack that found its way to Sil ’s house. Still like it, although the base could be better.
But all I need was a taste. :) Thank you to whomever dropped that off!
Glad you enjoyed it! I tried one of the teas in that sample pack and had no interest in the others so it got tossed into the bags for you guys. The tins are cute though.
Hahaha. I quite enjoyed this tea, even though Sil didnt. Must be because I don’t actually mind the whole flowery thing. I felt the chocolate was pretty nice, although yes somewhat flowery. Finished the mug pretty quick without thinking about it.
Probably if it were less flowery, more people would appreciate the actually pretty good chocolate flavour.
Preparation
I am drinking all of Sil ‘s Crimson Horizon while I’m here. Om nom nom tea.
Hehehe. I was going to say it’ll be one for each of us but I’m drinking coffee again this morning so I’m not sure that it will be a sip down for me…
I picked up some of this while I was out tea shopping for Sil and Keychange and picking up a scarf I forgot somewhere on the weekend… and I didn’t think I had tried it before, but I had.
Still, it is tasty. I brewed it hot and iced it well. Very refreshing, considering today was one of those fall days where the sun is out and really warm, but the breeze is quite brisk! My body doesn’t know what to do, so I end up being a sweaty mess. Teas like this are just what’s needed to rehydrate.
Preparation
I had this yesterday, because of Keychange. Yep, she totally made me! Haha. No, we were chatting and then I had to go dig around in my cupboard for some Bayswater teas.
Still so delicious. :)
Omg I went to the store and only bought ONE MORE TEA to share with SIL. tea for you, tea for a birthday girl, tea for my host this coming week!!
I’m heading to Van this weekend, and while it’s supposed to be only to see Fringe shows, I am trying to find a way to get to Bayswater, which is not too far from where we will be. I still have this, but I have been sending it off as samples to people, so I am running low now, and this is the time of year I want more of that warm comforting hug of yumminess. I am so glad you took us there on that meet up.:)
It rained, and I got food poisoning, so we left after the 2:45 show (we’d have gone home sooner, but we had paid tickets for this show). So I never got there. I felt so awful all of Saturday. :(
FINALLY I’m reviewing this tea, CrowKettle! It’s been a long time coming.
And I like it.
It’s mostly nutmeg to me, and I’m doing many shorter steeps with my wee teapot.
It good. I’m kinda sad it’s taken me so long to get to this, but yum. :)
OH gods. Don’t remind me. D: D: D: D: D: (I have a bag for you here. It takes up a good quarter of my luggage. So hopefully I can drink enough tea out of the box to decide I don’t need to bring it all home with me…
was this the one you tossed?
