My Paromi samples came today. Unfortunately, the sample that I placed the order for is missing which is their Bourbon Vanilla tea. That was the tea that made me want to order the sampler to start with. So that’s a bummer but I’m going to try the green tea sample tonight.
The sachets are biodegradable which is nice.
This was a nice and smooth buttery Chinese green. Nothing special but an enjoyable cup. Vegetal with a slight creaminess. Got some notes of garden peas as well. Drank this pretty quickly. This company has loose leaf teas as well there are some interesting blends.
Flavors: Butter, Garden Peas, Green, Smooth, Vegetal

It’s been a very productive day thankfully. Made a Banana Cake for the fam with some ingredients that needed to be used up. Did a ton of organizing sorting things to donate. Planned a hike with a friend for tomorrow and finished some classwork.
Also, I just finished bingeing The Stranger on Netflix. It’s really good! Highly recommend it.
On To the tea, this tea is pure chocolate-covered strawberry deliciousness. The puerh base for this one and use of cacao was smart. A lot of teas that use chocolate chips for the chocolate flavoring end up being oily. So it’s nice that the flavors come through so well without any weirdness. I drank this while making the cake. I’m getting close to running out of this one and wish I had ordered some of this in the group order.

Once I realized that you could pick from a few Adagio teas to order samples of and still get free shipping. I decided to make a small sample order. These are pretty much one cup samples. This is the first tea I decided to try from Adagio.
I’m really enjoying this one it’s very creamy, very milky, not too heavy unlike a lot of oolongs. I often find that most aren’t everyday drinkers for me because of this. This one is still light enough that it could be an everyday cup. There are some floral notes specifically maybe rose or orchid? Very delicate though and not overpowering. Someone else in the tasting notes for this tea mentioned rice pudding. I can kind of get that. Just from the creamy, sweet, milky flavor of this tea. I wouldn’t have made that comparison on my own though. I get the honeysuckle as well. I wouldn’t mind having some more of this in my cupboard actually. Got about three steeps out of this.
Flavors: Creamy, Floral, Honeysuckle, Orchid, Rose, Sweet

This was one of the oldest teas in my cupboard. I was gifted a ton of plain matcha at once. So it’s taken me awhile to go through. Finished this one up today by making a matcha latte made with oat milk. It’s a nice enough matcha for smoothies or lattes etc. Prepared traditionally I have some higher grade ones from other companies that I prefer to make that way. Tip: I generally make my lattes in the Vitamix using the pulse setting to get it nice and foamy.
Flavors: Grass
Preparation
Last year clearing out my old matcha was a top priority, and I got into smoothies for the first time ever (I guess I never realized it is possible to make them without bananas, despite every recipe ever listing banana…) Now I have a fresh matcha stash because I liked the breakfast smoothies so much its become the new morning ritual!
Moving Tasting Note to the right spot
Tasting note from 3 years ago:
Opened this up yesterday and followed a recipe from this company’s social media page.
The Matcha Basil Lemonade recipe was actually pretty easy to make and turned out great. The whole family loved it. It uses fresh lemon juice and honey to create the lemonade aspect of the drink. If anyone want’s the recipe I’d be happy to share it.

My bad health ‘day’ has lasted a little over a week now basically right around the time classes resumed. So I’ve switched to just drinking herbals mainly for the meantime. This past year I was finally going to try and see some new specialists to problem solve my chronic pain/health issues etc. Then Covid hit and I was informed that the medical offices were closing temporarily only doing zoom call appointments. So my waitlist spot is back at the beginning again.
This is one of my go to I’m not feeling good teas. It’s one that I grew up drinking even before I had decided I liked tea. This is a good vanilla mint cheap herbal tea. It’s creamy even without milk added and the chamomile works really well with the other flavors. Love this one. I often rotate between the original Sleepytime tea and the Vanilla one.
Flavors: Creamy, Hay, Spearmint, Vanilla
Everybody needs a small arsenal of no-fuss, no-nonsense, reliable bagged tea that one doesn’t have to think about. I think there are a lot of folks who would put Sleepytime on that list.
