688 Tasting Notes
Found this at the international grocery. The scent is so nicely bergamot. That comes across in the flavour well, along with some creamy notes. It is a bit floral too.
Very good. Glad I went back for it. Having another cup while watching ‘The Prestige’.
Flavors: Bergamot, Creamy, Floral
I like having earl grey in Autumn, even better on rainy days. The blueberry and bergamot scent is very nice. There is mostly a berry flavour, which goes well with the bergamot. This time I had it with apple crisp. That worked pretty well.
Flavors: Bergamot, Blueberry
On dark and stormy mornings, have this tea. It goes well with apple pancakes and Dresden Files. There is a nice yam scent with hints of cocoa. The flavour has a nice amount of malt, sweet, yam, and a bit of chocolate. Very good. Especially in this weather.
Today was two day of my pancake experiment. Somehow, I hadn’t made them before now. But this time was blue corn. Sans pinons. Since the batter was too wet, I tried added a little more flour. When I was just trying to make the pancakes too big. After using a smaller measuring method, they turned out fine. And I still say blue corn tastes different.
I’m down to my last few cups of this tea. It smells nicely sweet and floral. There is a bit of a honey scent in the brew. The flavour was lightly sweet and somewhat floral.
Nice for this sunny Autumn day.
Flavors: Floral, Honey
The final sipdown. I am down to the last steeper basket. It smells nicely like cocoa, and little like yams. With maybe a little bread scent too. There is an apricot flavour with malt and other dried fruits notes. Made it a little strong, but I will miss this tea.
Flavors: Apricot, Bread, Cocoa, Dried Fruit, Malt
From the other local tea shop. I was getting some black teas because Winter is coming. This has such a nice malty scent. There is a nice, sweet flavour. With notes of fruit. Overall, it is a good tea for cold mornings. Or just cloudy afternoons.
Flavors: Fruity, Malt
Birthday tea- This has a nice muscat scent. There is sweet grape flavour. Still reminds me of those Japanese candies I like. Had some while watching the Lord of the Rings movies yesterday. (Other teas went better with the carrot cake.)
Flavors: Grapes, Muscatel
In a box, inside another box, I finally found this tea. It still smells of earth and dark chocolate. And maybe oak. The flavour is on the sweet side. There are hints of dark cherry and caramel. It’s smooth and rich. Still makes me think of a certain chocolate bar.
Made once again in the Western style.
Flavors: Caramel, Cherry, Cocoa, Dark Chocolate, Earth
That’s one of my favorite Earl Greys!
I was at the international grocery again, so I got more.
