Advent Day 3

Not my favorite Fauchon tea, but I feel like I have learned to appreciate it a bit more over the years. It still hits me with an overpowering taste of baby powder. It must be the rose vanilla combo. I have had plenty of other rose teas that don’t hit me this way, but there is something different about French flavors. For example… I love almond flavors in my teas, but French almond is a totally different take on almond than the rest of the world does. It’s a lighter baked flavor, more of an essence. If I try really hard I can pick up citrus notes under the powder and I can see how the vanilla rounds things out. It is a really well balanced tea with complex flavors, but they unfortunately don’t merge into something I’m excited about.

My name is Dustin and I like tea.

I’m an added flavor kind of tea fan, but have had a growing appreciation for plain. I want my tea to remind me of cookies and cakes with coconut and almond slices with a hint of chocolate drizzled on top. I want dancing ponies and flying monkeys shooting off fireworks! And no hibiscus. Hibiscus is the devil.
