391 Tasting Notes
I was worried how this would taste because I forgot to remove the tea and steeped it for about 6 minutes by accident. It was ok though, the lavender was super strong but not bad tasting. Not sure if this tea is something I really like and I wouldn’t buy more of it but it’s an ok tea to me.
It’s so hot that I’ve been cold brewing teas that I have a lot of even though it kind of seems like I should not or at the least that it’s not like you would immediately think yes, this sounds like it would taste good cold. Not bad though, the pumpkin spicy taste is ok and it’s creamy so cheesecake like. I think that I actually like it better hot but it’s not horrible cold… But I don’t think I’ll be craving any more of this cold at least.
Since I had the ATR Brioche tea this morning I thought I’d try this one to see if it tasted similar because of the almonds. They look a lot alike, the S&V has more almond slivers though. The Almond Sugar Cookie is a nice tea, the almond taste is good but if I need to pick one almond tea I would take the Brioche because it seemed sweeter and I liked the cinnamon. The tea base was stronger and slightly more astringent in the Almond Sugar Cookie.
Forgot to add that I got this from swapping with moraiwe :) Many Thanks!
If I was thinking I would have tossed some Almond Butter in there to taste too because all three look so much alike and each is pretty unique!
Oh my… This is sooooo good. The smell and taste are delicious. I like the sweet almond taste a lot, this goes on my shopping list for sure. It’s good plain and I’m sure would taste good with some sugar and milk too. I’m having it with my croissant breakfast sandwich and it goes well with it… and cookies :) A definite treat, thanks moraiwe!
Thank you for the swap and sacrificing some of this to send me, Stephanie. The pineapple part smells just like the pineapple from 52teas Pineapple & Bacon. I brewed it hot first and didn’t really like it but cold brewed came out better. I can definitely taste the pineapple and coconut. I don’t really like the artificial pineapple smell or flavor I guess. It’s a nice sweet tea though.
Nice, chocolate and fruit taste. I thought it was raspberry but I see its supposed to be strawberry. It’s good that this is my last little bit; this time when I made the tea I burned my hand warming up my eggs. Last time I burnt my tongue drinking the tea. Cursed tea.
I wasn’t expecting too much after reading the other reviews but aww, I really like the taste of this tea so it’s too bad that its been discontinued. The soybean mix makes the tea really taste and smell like kinako (sugary soybean powder). Makes me wish I had some kinako mocha to eat with it. Nice. I like soybeans, I should look for more teas with them. I’m pretty sure that Lupicia had been advertising one with black soybean or powder.
This tastes soooo good. However, it seems like the package doesn’t last all that long. I mean, on the one hand it’s good because I want to reduce my stash piles but its not so good price per cup. And even though I sifted this time for me and dad there were still clumpy bits at the bottom. Is it really that important to get a chasen then? I used to have a mini whisk but it rusted so I’ve been using a fork to stir it up. I could swear I bought the strawberry mix too but can’t find it anywhere… Time to clean.
