391 Tasting Notes
This tasted good, but not exactly what I was expecting. The raspberry taste really comes out and there’s a vanilla smoothness. I cold brewed a bit too and that was even better at bringing the vanilla-y taste out to match the raspberry. The raspberry pieces are visible in the dry mix and the smell is enticing. Thanks to moraiwe for swapping! I wanted to make an order but wasn’t sure so getting to try this one out first is great.
I got the little packet sample with my last order from Den’s Tea. It sounded so healthy I was worried it’d taste horrible lol, but it’s ok. It just tastes like mild seaweed. I may have used too much water, also the water was room temperature and neither hot or cold. Having things in it to suppress histamines, this might be a good present for my mom since she has pretty bad allergies at times. Wonder if it would help me when the vog is strong and I suffer with itchy eyes and runny nose? The little packet is the perfect size to carry around. Also, no clumps. When I plopped the whole thing in the bottle, there were clumpy bits so I thought it’d be like when i didn’t sift and my matcha has clumps and stick that way even when shaken but the benefuki powder dissolved really nicely. Not even a chalky texture at all while drinking.
I kind of forgot about my water when it was ready so it must have been a lower temp than 212 but it came out really well. It absolutely tastes like Orange Dreamsicle! I was thinking it would need some creamer and sugar to make it really taste like it but the vanilla and orange comes out strong without it. I might need to buy this… a lot of it. Thank you BrewTEAlly Sweet!
Thanks to Allie for swapping :)
It’s a good thing we had swapped for more than enough for one cup because for me, the extra leaf was important. The first cup i made was too watery. Adding more and steeping longer as Allie suggested was better. I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would after reading the website description… and the chocolate melting left residue and oily stuff floating on the top. The stronger cup had better taste and I could taste the chocolate, cinnamon and coconut.
This was pretty yummy, all that’s left of my sample… I ate it with my breakfast custard long John and it was so good with it. Very vanilla and smooth, and like rum candy but not in that too sweet way. Definitely makes up for the disappointing Goji Pop cup I had first. I thought it could be the water making the Goji Pop taste metallicky but the Buttered Rum came out well. This goes on my list of potential teas to buy next order.
I got this in a swap with Stephanie (Thanks :D)
It’s a good tea, but I’m glad I got this in a swap just to try it out. I don’t think I’ll buy a whole of it. There’s just something that I don’t quite like.. I think it’s the floral note in the smell and taste. It’s very small part so it’s not so bad I hate the tea, it just pings the wrong way. Otherwise, the pineapple tastes and smells like the dried pineapple rings with the crust of sugar all around it. There is a little tartness which I think adds to the pineapple-ness.
