I did not enjoy this tea, but I’m not surprised (I am clearly an advocate of black tea). Nonetheless, my impressions: this blend had a little of everything greenish. In fact, it looked like I had mowed the lawn and collected the dried grass clippings, then added some green tea(I think) and large chamomile flower heads. It brewed up a nice golden color with a strong chamomile smell and a hint of mint. I imagine that it was very tasty for those that like this type of tea. It would be a thumbs down for purely my tastes…but I’m going neutral because I suspect its a find blend for those more inclined to herbals and/or chamomile teas.

Cofftea

It’s white peony actually- not green tea. Way too much chamomile- I normally love white teas, but not this blend. I rehomed mine.

Atacdad

I circular filed mine ;-)

This is going to be my “morning brew” for awhile…I inherited a 1/2 lb of it from a friend who thought it was too mild. I’ll not bother to post more on it…save everyone the boredom.

Feeling the flu bug and can’t find my “I’m sick” feelgood tea (Lipton Orange & Spice). But I found this in the pantry. Pretty good, especially once it cooled down enough to let you get more than a sip at a time. Very subtle fruit flavors balancing a good green tea undertone. This one is a winner for elegance…not an “in your face” fruit tea.

I ♥ NewYorkCiTEA

I have a few bags left of this in my tea cupboard. It’s a pretty good bagged tea.

drank Masala Chai by Adagio Teas

backlogging this mornings tea. Finished off my Masala Chai sample. I only had 1/2 a teaspoon left, so mixed equal parts Chai and Assam Melody as before. Love it!

Ok, I think I’ve figured this one out. You have to use a bit extra dry tea to develop body with this tea. 1 1/2 heaping teaspoons (again, the silverware, not the measuring spoon) at a minimum for a 12oz cup of tea. I’m using drinkably Hot water and a full 4 minutes of steeping. The resulting tea is very mild and not astringent at all. A very tame cup of tea.

drank Decaf Earl Grey by Adagio Teas

Made this last night in my 4 cup pot (after the decaf ceylon disaster). Two heaping teaspoons with boiling water, steeped 3 minutes. Yummy! This came out perfect. I really like the bergamot peel that Adagio uses in their Earl Grey, and like the “normal” version, this EG comes out with a big bergamot burst that some might find overwhelming. But for the real Earl Grey experience, I think Adagio has the finest…and their decaf keeps up the standard.

drank Decaf Ceylon by Adagio Teas

I fixed a 4 cup pot of this for my wife and I last night. First time I’ve tried Adagio’s Decaf Ceylon. In short, it was a disaster! The tea had an off taste that I can only describe as “fish stock” and I poured the whole pot down the drain (I abhor fish stock and anything made with it).
For the record: 2 heaping teaspoons steeped with boiling water 4 minutes. The off taste was present at 90 seconds when I checked for color and just got worse with time.

I’m not much active on Steepster because I haven’t been trying a lot of different tea lately. I have been buying M.T. Wendell’s Cheericup Ceylon because it is my favorite. That said, gifts of tea drop in every once in awhile and I try to bring my impressions here.
I am unashamedly stealing this rating description from Morgana.
