I picked up a sample of this at the Pacific Northwest Tea Festival. It’s a good winter spice tea with a hint of chocolate. I’d pick some up again if I com across it.

I had a bit of this at the Northwest Tea Festival today. I like oolongs enough that I typically don’t get flavored versions, but I liked this enough to add it to my wishlist.

I had a glass of this, iced, at Ada’s Technical Books & Cafe. Wonderful location, wonderful iced tea. I was a bit worried I’d want to sweeten it a bit, but it was perfect as is!

How do you think it would be hot?

Terrific, strong cup of tea. It’s smooth and not too acidic. Somehow I found it both bold and mellow. I think this is the brand of choice tea with the most personality of any of the ones I’ve tried.

This tea seemed less exciting than the other Choice Organic Teas, but it was a solidly good cup of black tea. You can buy it in bulk and you can feel good that it’s organic and fair trade certified!

This bright cup of tea is really satisfying. I felt like it wanted sugar and creamer, and indeed, it was better that way.

This was a well balanced breakfast blend. I really liked it: plain, with sugar, and as it cooled.

I am learning about detox tea and roasted dandelion, so I didn’t have much to compare this to. It’s interesting, but not something I’d drink for flavor.

Ok, but a bit perfumy. There are a bunch of hibiscus teas I like more. My son really liked it, though!

Bio

I’ve been into tea, at some level, since college with a first tin of loose tea brought back by my parents from Oxford. My love of tea increased with a visit to Boston and a chance cup at Tealuxe. Since then I’ve only gotten more interested in tea and have developed more of an appreciation for it.

100: a perfect cuppa. these are the teas I’ll keep in my cupboard and tend to be one per type of tea.

90-99: will definitely get more of this tea

80-89: likely to get more and perhaps it will become a favorite with time

70-79: very good, depending on my mood or the season

60-69: wouldn’t actively try to get this tea, but also wouldn’t avoid it in a tea shop or restaurant

50-59: run-of-the-mill tea for me

40-49: decent, would hit the spot in some moods, but probably wouldn’t purchase it for my cupboard

30-39: okay, will try again, maybe

20-29: meh. I’d try this tea again if no other were available

10-19: drinkable, but a forced cup

0-9: didn’t even finish the cup
