237 Tasting Notes
This smells like After Eights’ and is one of DT’s finest works of art a staple for any connoisseur of dessert teas or people who just have good taste!
It’s certainly a staple in my black tea collection. Not an everyday tea but there must always be some in my cupboard or I am heartbroken.
Great for winter and chocolate cravings.
It’s sexy and minty sweet. One sip is all it takes to melt away the blues.
Can’t believe I’ve waited this long to sing it’s sweet praises.
Preparation
And now for something completely different.
Today is a grey and dismal day…doomed to be a boring Saturday I needed something to spice it up.It’s hard to describe the scent it’s definitely Mango but it’s got a whole other dimension to it.
Long red chili threads that make it hard to measure out but making it quite neat looking.
Once steeped it smells heavier not really spicy though which is kind of disappointing.
it’s kind of nice it’s fully mango but it has a spicy background. It’s a very mild drink though for what is promised.I suppose you could put more in and steep for longer and get the full impact but it might get bitter that way. It’s nice and has potential for a good icing.
I think I will trade this to my bff since her hubby loves the greens maybe this will be more up his and her alley.
I’m stuck in the middle about it at the end of the day.No Diablo maybe just a light sprinkling of spiciness.
Preparation
Smells lovely…very cinnamon with fruity whispers and a touch of nuttiness.
I heaped more in and steeped longer I need full flavor with the fruity ones:)
Once steeped smells the same..all the notes much stronger now.
It’s a lovely rich crimson color which I adore.
Well it’s a tarty tart tart.
The cinnamon is awesome.
I like this tea..but I doubt I would buy more I got it in an 85 gram special edition tin..and I’m not totally convinced I’ll get a yen to finish it..but maybe it’ll grow on me .
It’s yummy, tarty and a punch of cinnamon but I’m still unsure..I believe it to be quite nice…maybe in the winter it will be the right drink on a cold night..I wanted this to be like “mulled wine” that DT did for a short time for a lark and never brought back..I’d prefer that mulled wine…PLEASE bring it back!
I’M WILLING TO SWAP THE REST IN IT’S LOVELY TIN..if anyone’s interested give me a shout!
Preparation
So I want to adore this tea..it has Green Apples AND floral! Not to mention pistachios and a crazy good apple smell.
It’s like this tea got all dressed up nice and everything and decided to stay in for the night…
It’s barely tarty and the floral is a major disappointment in that it is total far in the background scenery…barely there.
It’s light and potentially refreshing for an iced tea..
Could make for a nice afternoon sip..
Disappointed..but I just got big apple in my last DT order so maybe just maybe they’ll bowl me over like Tea Forte’s Harvest Apple Spice(It’s UNBELIEVABLE BUT NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART).
Any suggestions about making this an actual flavorful tea would be taken and tried.
sigh
Preparation
Love this tea..it is Tazo’s passion tea but black!
I notice a lot of people have problems with it..rule of thumb for ALL DT’s black teas…ALWAYS PUT IN LESS AND STEEP THE SHORTEST TIME RECOMMENDED I CAN’T STRESS THIS ENOUGH.
Okay I’ll stop yelling now..
Preparation
So this smells ******* amazing..
Campinos, strawberry yogurt and rhubarb walk into a bar = TEA SMELL
I put a heaping amount in and steep the full 7 minutes as with all DT herbals.Sometimes longer..
Once steeped it gets muskier smelling more of the rhubarb coming through. My room smells absolutely amazing this is one of those rare teas that smell up a whole room while just sitting there cooling..smells better and better as it cools returning to it’s original epic-ness.
2 new yummy teas in one day? I’m very spoiled.
Oh this is yummy..nom nom nom..
It’s a bit of a juicy tart.
Creamy and lovely sweet!
We have a new winner,folks..!
Gotta try this iced.I’m going to be licking my lips an hour after all the tea is gone..I feel like making more this instant! That almost never happens!
Preparation
I love floral teas…they are sexy and luscious and steeped in magic.
I had to have and try this jasmine and rose infused black tea.
Smells absolutely and profoundly juicy and rosy with a deep jasmine base.
As usual I steeped less for shorter to avoid the usual bitterness that DT teas have if actually following their official directions for black tea( they should totally fix that!)…learned this the hard way!
Once steeped the jasmine takes over but the rose is still there heavier and muskier smelling.
I am a huge fan of All The Raj…a very very acquired taste that I only seem to appreciate..I need my floral teas totally overwhelming and really sexy this smells totally promising…OH please please be as lovely as you smell!
As for taste….mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Totally floral.A bit fruity and totally lovely.
This is a total winner and a new proud to have addition to my extensive DT black tea collection..
I totally have to try this iced..I really love this the more I sip the more I slip away into floral tea heaven. It hits the tea-spot.
Preparation
I’ve had this tea sitting in my cupboard for waaay too long…it’s backlog Tuesday!
Like the smell it smells like nice nice nice white tea.I love the blueberry and pomegranate essences they really sell me on it.
The taste is bordering on bitter.I do taste blueberries but not much more.
It gets more pleasant as I drink it but it lacks something fundamental that I can’t name currently.
It’s overall a bummer but I don’t NEED another expensive White Tea to obsess over…LOOK at my cupboard people!
Never lose faith. Today may have been rough, but there is always tomorrow =)
awww….Wishing you better days
