Tried this again tonight in a smaller mug and it really made a difference. I think I put too little tea in last night, it’s much stronger this time. I really quite like it. And though I enjoy rooibos it doesn’t have that rooibos-y, woody taste, which is refreshing.

i love the tea. i am having issues getting over the price though.
ok its expensive and i got 4 cups out of 2 oz..

i would like more chocolate flavour, but i do love the white chocolate and peppermint.

mint and lemon are my go to teas — so this works too.
i think it would be great when your throat is killing you.

my rating is high but the price is high so i have to make my rating lower

darby

How much tea did you use?!!!? A half ounce sounds like way too much per cup. I just ordered this one on their sale.

Lolita

Hey :)
I used 1/2TBS which is only slightly more than 1tsp. The recommended is 1.5 tsp per cup.
If I’m lucky I can get 5 complete servings out of my whole order. I’ve had 3 and was going to have my 4th last night but didn’t. I put it back.
I’m thinking I got swindled. :p.

I was a little put off by the oily layer on top, but once I got past that it was really good. I sweetened it just a little. It was a very satisfying winter treat; the peppermint smell is great, but the taste not too overwhelming. I could really taste the chocolate. I only steeped once, since the chocolate pieces were melted away. I used 3 tsp for 16 ounces.

MMMMMMMMMMMMM delicious! This tea is great. The peppermint flavor is strong and there is definitely a creamy sweetness coming from the white chocolate. (This tea doesn’t need sugar!)

I first tried this blended with Teavana’s CocoCaramel Sea Salt, and it was quite good… But tonight I had two cups of this alone, and I prefer this tea alone. The peppermint flavor is staying in my mouth even though it’s been a while since I’ve had a few sips… yum! I’m glad this is caffeine-free because it’s a perfect evening tea.

After I finished pouring the tea from my teamaker into my cup, I opened the top of my teamaker and breathed in the steam that was coming from the wet leaves. My sinuses instantly opened and I could feel the peppermint in them, as refreshing as Vick’s Vapor Rub (but much better smelling). I will be buying more of this tea.

So here goes Teavana again with sending me emails about new teas while I’m at school (a two minute walk from the store)… With a name as beautiful as White Chocolate Peppermint, I could not resist. I also got a cup of it for free because I bought 50g of it :)

The tea itself is just as beautiful. The rooibos flavor is not all that prominent, it is taken over by the sweetness in the tea. However you have to be careful not to steep it for too long or else it will become sickeningly sweet. As for the peppermint, it is fairly strong, but only noticeable in the aftertaste.

It has a wonderful wintery vibe, that is just so comforting and absolutely wonderful. This is going to be a good winter :)

This was a gift from a coworker. 12 bags of this tea in a decorative plastic container. It was lovely of her to do that for me. I had a cup last night and really enjoyed it. Like many rooibos teas, it brewed up very dark. The flavor was mild while it was hot but as it cooled the peppermint came out. There was also a faintly sweet note, which I assume was from the white chocolate. As I said, I really enjoyed it. I could see myself someday getting more of this.

On a personal note, I am back from my blood work and CT scan. I won’t have the results of the scan until I meet with my oncologist on Friday, but I have the blood work results. In June my CEA (carcinoembryonic antigen-which may measure cancer markers in the blood) was 7.3. Today it is 1.7, which is smack dab in the normal range. I know it is too early to rejoice, because the CT scan may show something, but I think the liver ablation treatment was successful. When I saw the result I actually teared up. I hadn’t realized how stressed I was by it until then.

Thankful for your good news, and hoping to rejoice with you soon over the scan!

Nattie

Fingers crossed for happy news!

Michelle

I hope you pick a good tea to celebrate with!

Maddy Barone

I wish I could ‘like’ everyone’s comments as I would on Facebook! I celebrated tonight by brewing a whole pot of this tea. Now the licorice flavor is coming out, overlaid by a sweet creaminess. Very enjoyable!

Kaylee

Hoping for good results, and glad for what you’ve gotten so far!

Certainly it sounds promising and praying for good results!

I decided to be ambitious and try this tea because of the holidays coming up. It sounded like a nice tea to get in the Christmas spirit (although December is still a month away!) I steeped this tea for a few seconds longer than I typically do, after reading reviews. The smell of this tea was very strong, and I was surprised at how much I liked the aroma. I was nervous to taste it, though, because of many strong opinions I had heard about the rooibos in the blend. It turns out that I could not actually really taste the rooibos though. The tea did have a pretty strong peppermint flavor though, which I did enjoy because of the cold weather. This is definitely a tea that I would only drink around the winter holiday season. It was a nice treat though, and I enjoyed the strong flavor more than I thought I would! I tend to like peppermint flavor though, which I am sure helped. I also think that I would prefer drinking this tea later in the day or night, and not early in the morning.

Years ago, this was actually the first loose leaf tea I ever bought. I frequently tried samples at Teavana, but this is the first one I ever had to have. I ended up with a few bags of this after Teavana closed, and it makes such a tasty, nostalgic treat. I’ve tried other chocolate mint teas since and have never been much of a fan. It might be because the white chocolate goes so much better with mint than other chocolates. So anyway, the tea tastes mostly like a mint candy with some desserty depth underneath. And it leaves a bit of a tingle on your tongue. This is one that definitely gets stale with age, so I guess I’d better hurry up and finish what I have.

Candy Cane Crush from David’s Tea would likely make a good substitute when you need a refill. :)

AJRimmer

Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that one! I got a tin of that in a holiday sampler last year, and it was really good! I’ll be on the lookout during their after-Christmas sale (:

I had the chance of trying this tea recently. It certainly had an overwhelming licorice scent; it smelled up two rooms! :O Taste-wise, I found that the tea did indead taste like white chocolate peppermint. Yet, in my opinion, it was way to sweet for my tastebuds and the peppermint tasted too strong. I wished I could have enjoyed this because I love eatting Peppermint bark.

Every time I have this tea it reminds me of the time I got suckered into buying it.

Maybe suckered isn’t the right word, but I had one sample in the store and I was sold. A moment later you then see me at the register paying _

To be fair I am a sucker for a lot of teas that have mint in them. This was a tea I liked instantly: I could taste mint, I could taste chocolate, and it was SWEET. Oh man was it ever sweet. Do they put extra sugar in teas at Teavana? Because since then I’ve had several cups of this at home and it never tastes quite as sweet as the time I’ve had it at the store.

Either way I still enjoy this tea and having it around this time of year sure puts me in a jolly festive mood.
