From T2

Green tea with strawberries drizzled in cream is a big and bold sweet sensation. Juicy fruit blended with the herbaceous grassy aroma of sencha is intriguing, assertive and very moreish. Delicious hot and stunning iced as a summer treat. It’s easy to see why this is our most popular flavoured green – it’s simply gorgeous!

Ingredients: Green tea, natural and artificial flavor, freeze dried strawberries

Brewing Guide: 1 tsp per cup, 80C/176F, 2-3 min.

Bought a variety pack of T2 teas as an intro to the brand and decided Gorgeous Geisha was first up. I love a cup of green tea in the morning and we’re getting our kitchen refitted which means getting to the fridge for milk (as I’d add to most black teas) was a no-go. In any case, good choice! I was worried that the fruit might be too strong and override the gentle grassiness that is green tea, but that was in vain because the two flavors mingle perfectly together. It’s slightly sweet without being anywhere near cloying. I’m having it hot but have no doubt this would be wonderful iced, so I’ll try it that way next time!

One of my favourite green teas. Smells very sweet and creamy and this also translates to the creamy taste. Make sure you don’t over brew or it becomes very bitter. Lovely staple.

So good! In the bag this has a tangy fresh strawberry smell from the freeze dried pieces but after a couple of minutes brewing the smell and flavour is very mellow and creamy, like a strawberry icecream. I find nearly all tea relaxing but this one is really nice and comforting.

This smells amazing, but to drink it’s very… ehh. It’s fine – there’s nothing wrong with it per say, but the strawberry imparts an overpowering tartness that doesn’t really appeal to me. If fruity flavoured greens are your thing, you would probably like this (more power to ya), but I’m not a huge fan.

I would say it’s a green tea that has quite a good fruity aroma before and after steeping, meaning that the dry smell is similar to the wet taste. I bought this tea solely due to the dry aroma and it wasn’t disappointing to have that same aroma when I steep and drink it.
I wouldn’t recommend this tea for entry level green tea drinkers as the taste of strawberry overpowers the taste of the leafy green tea. Nonetheless, it adds a bit of fun to my green tea drinking ritual because sometimes going for the same old pure green can be rather boring.

I don’t drink a lot of green tea, most of the ones I’ve tried in the past have been too bitter or grassy for my tastes. This one is quite good though, it’s got a lovely sweetness from the strawberries and is more creamy than most green teas I’ve tried before. It’s made me consider checking out more greens in the future.

At first I was dubious about a strawberry tart flavoured green tea, and I wouldn’t of considered purchasing if the clerk had not convinced me otherwise. However I was so pleasantly surprised that I’d dare say Gorgeous Geisha is my new favourite blend from T2.
The fruit notes are delicate and in no way overpower the refreshing green tea. Furthermore, I found the beautiful scent from the leaves still lingers even when brewed, creating the most lovely tea time experience
All in all, a wonderful balance of healthy green tea with a touch of sweetness that would please most.

Not a bad tea! Not sure if I would repurchase again though.
When I first smelt it, I fell in love with it instantly.
However, over time, and as I’ve tasted a whole lot of other teas, I feel now that it was more of a sweet novelty rather than a long lasting love.
The smell of the dry leaves is so sweet, almost a little bit artificial smelling. It’s pretty, but to my taste, not as sophisticated in terms of flavour balance.
Then there’s the taste. It hardly tastes anything like what it smells like. The strawberry flavour easily becomes tart if you brew it even a few seconds too long or a few degrees too high. The green tea flavour also doesn’t shine through as much as I’d like to.
Overall, it’s ok. But not something that has wow’d me, as much as it initially did at the start.

I’d like to recommend the Geisha Getaway. Bright and a creamy mouthfeel. Also excellent iced.

Got this as a sample with my latest T2 online order. It’s fine for a flavoured green, I just don’t care much for flavoured greens. Sipdown done and dusted.

I was given this tea by a friend who is addicted to it. Sadly I find I have to sit on the fence with this tea when its hot. I feel the taste is to muddled, and needs more definition in the notes.

It’s redeeming point is that it works well Iced, tho not my favorite Iced Tea either.
