From DAVIDsTEA

We’re just gonna go ahead and say it – we’re total raspberry addicts. Seriously, how can anyone resist these deliciously tempting berries? They’re sweet, fruity and bursting with summer freshness. We all know raspberries taste great straight up. But have you tried them as an iced tea? Gamechanger. We kicked this blend up a notch with a creamy swirl of yogurt. The result? An icy treat that tastes just like a raspberry fro-yo. We won’t judge if you go back for seconds.

Ingredients: Apple (apple, citric acid), sugar, raisins, hibiscus blossom s, carrot, yogurt pieces (yogurt powder, sugar, maltodextrin, modified starch, citric acid), beetroot, raspberry, natural and artificial raspberry and strawberry-cream flavouring.

Price per 50g: $7.98

Okay, I don’t know if I can go back to raspberry mojito after trying this one. The raspberry flavor is similar, but this one lacks the kind of strange aftertaste the other has. Instead, the lingering flavor of this one is creaminess, as if I were eating sugar-dusted frozen raspberries. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and wish I had more than just my one ounce tin!

AMAZING! I was not a fan of the scent, it seemed too strong and in-your-face, but the taste is just out of this world! It’s excellent hot and cold, in fact I’d recommend the first cup steeped around a minute, consume hot, and then make a second cup (steep for closer to the recommended 5 minutes) and add ice. Bliss!

This and Peaches & Cream by Sloane Tea are the two teas my sister owns. Compared to my 320something. DAVIDsTEA won her over on this one with their tea lemonade recipe. Alas, she was prediabetic and now being pregnant, she has been told to be extra careful of her sugars. So, when I made her this tea, I told her we were sharing the 16 oz to limit her lemonade intake.

It does make for a nice raspberry lemonade flavor. Sometimes a touch too sweet given the added sugar but that’s why it pairs nicely with lemonade. This is not something I need to own but a cup every now and then is pleasant.

I don’t know if your sister will like it, but a niece with gestational diabetes fell in love with Harney’s Hot Cinnamon Spice because it tastes so sweet even though there is no sugar! She could even ice it.

VariaTEA

Thanks for the suggestion. She is more into the fruity teas when I can get her to try them so I just force her to share.

Kinda funny that everyone seems to be like NOPE to this one and it’s the one i think i enjoyed the most out of the few samples i picked up. This is much more how i wanted that raspberry cream pie mess thing that DT put out a while back to taste like. I still don’t need more in my cupboard but it was nice to be able to drink something a little fresh and fruity today given how BLAH my cupboard has been lately. lol it’s maybe a little artificial, but i’m also used to that in “raspberry” flavour. but this has got a nice bite while still being something that i can get behind.

My review about it yesterday was favourable though (even though the previous two tries were nope). So the thing has potential. Also, Ms. Strange is a fan if I recall correctly.

Roswell Strange

It’s a guilty pleasure of mine; I don’t like the general idea of the sugar being pre-added but I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy each cup of it I’ve had… I think the Frozen Raspberry Lemonade we’re doing as a specialty drink right now is a really nice twist on it, too.

Sil

ooh i should do that…brew this up in some lemonade

In store sample

This sample was just divine. Full on juicy natural raspberry. How odd that there is such variation in this one.

VariaTEA

In store they’re mixing this with lemonade so maybe that’s the discrepancy

Evol Ving Ness

I think this one was straight up because I had a Raspberry Lemonade sample on the same day in the same store which I assume was the mix. (I haven’t checked whether they have an actual Raspberry Lemonade tea.)

I brewed it hot but served it iced. It’s very one dimensional to me, with a weird kind of metallic raspberry taste. I think that might be how I’m perceiving the yogurt pieces? Anyway, I was kind of bummed after all the great reviews, but I’m starting to find that the higher the reviews on Steepster, the less I like it, lol. I’ll finish my 2 oz, but I’m glad I didn’t buy more.

This is my second order of this tea, but my first time rating/reviewing it. My kids absolutely love this and will ask if there is a pitcher in the fridge. I love that they will choose this over the juices and pre-made iced teas that are hoped up on sugar.

Dried the leaves have fruity aroma with a hint of carrot lingering in the background. The brewed colour is a dark pink nearly red with a sweet fruity aroma. Taste wise it is smooth and heavenly fruity, with hints of raspberry in every sip.

Oh, I was going to pick a bit of this up last time just out of curiosity but wasn’t sure because, to my nose, it smells really sweet in the sniffer lid.

Cat-Nap

I didn’t find it very sweet, it was just the right amount. I had first tried a cup iced in store before I brought it home.

This tea ROCKS iced! Tastes like sweet raspberries for sure. The tea guide recommended to try it hot as well as it tastes like raspberry candy. Will have to try on a cool summer night.

*Update: Topped off my iced tea with some lemonade and it is SO YUMMY!
