In my opinion, this is the only tea from the last year or so that taste unique or different than one of their other teas, wich is good.

Good hot or even cold (surprisingly!)

Ugh, I don’t like tumeric. I don’t mind it as much in ME to WE India, but this blend is just all tumeric. I wish I could taste the fruit more. There is some sour/acidity and a lot of Earthy flavour from the beet root and tumeric. As a latte this is a bit more mellow, but I guess I’m just not the target audience. Tumeric tastes musty and sort of…starchy, maybe? I don’t know, it isn’t a spice I use a lot except in a few Middle Eastern dishes.

This tea reminds me of carrot cake, but the best carrot cake.

Re-review of this tea.

The more I drank this tea the more I disliked it. Maybe I was oversteeping but I found it to be a bit too sweet, plus any tumeric taste was hidden. Glad I used it up, won’t be a re-purchase.

(On a side note, I can’t believe I’m at 16 teas and decreasing! It’s keeping my cupboard fresh and underwhelming while still having choice. This is the season to reduce my cupboard before all of the spring teas come lol)

Short review here – I tried a sample of this in store and simply thought… Interesting. In a way it reminds me of carrot cupcake without the sweetness – as it had a carrot taste to it and also somewhat gingery. It wasn’t horrible, but this isn’t one I would buy.

It’s baccckkkk!!!

Out of all the teas that DAVIDsTEA released in 2017, this one is unquestionably in my top five favourites – I stocked up SO HEAVILY on it because I was just really scared that it’d never come back. However, it soft launched in stores earlier in the week as a core tea in DT’s collection so I no longer have to hoard my stash!

I celebrated the glorious return of this tea by making a huge iced cup of it with a heaping dollop of frothed milk on top, and a honey drizzle! Sweet, creamy perfection to add to the smooth, sweetly earthy and softly spicy profile of the tea! I love the subtle, warming spices alongside the carrot and mellow pineapple notes. It’s so great.

Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts regarding the teas, and not the company’s.
