i don’t love davids tea…but i’m always willing to try new things. verdict is, that i prefer other puerhs. This one is sweet…not super sweet but enough that the puerh takes a back seat to everything. I prefer it when the puerh is more to the forefront, with the flavour accompanying the tea instead of supplanting it. over all, not a terrible tea but i’d pick up other versions of this tea first.

Interestingly, I have a sticky toffee tea from Whittard that I like blending with plain puerh. That way, I can kind of control the level of flavoured stuff versus earthhy, farmy puerh goodness.

Just ok. The toffee is fairly good but the chocolate is…not in this cup. I might have overstepped at 5 minutes. Next time I will try 4.

My friend picked me up a sample of this tea the other day and when I smelled it, it was just horrible. I think the smell was disgusting. I hate toffee and caramel to begin with, but I wanted to try this to see why everyone thought it was so good. I tried it as a tea latte and it was drinkable. I wouldn’t get it or drink it again though. Yuck.

This tea smelled really nice in the tin, Just like english toffee with chocolate. I steeped for 7 minutes, as i like my tea on the stronger side and added a splash of milk. The end result tasted like Davids tea Chocolate macaroon, which is not my favourite. It tasted slightly better to me as it cooled off. I Would not purchase again tho.
UPDATE: just tried this in a tea latte, and the toffee flavour is way more pronounced than in a regular tea. Very enjoyable!!

I picked up the new tea that was released earlier in the day. I was really looking forward to trying this one and, let me just say, it did not disappoint! Yum yum!!! I prepared it as a hot latte and it was amazing. I actually got it ready right before dinner, but did not try it until after eating my food. Throughout my meal, the tea was giving off the most spectacular aroma. I couldn’t wait to try it! So good! I only picked up 50g to try it out, but I will definitely be picking up a lot more in the future. It’s an incredible dessert tea!
