From DAVIDsTEA

This fruity organic black tea is our ode to the blueberry. Long before the “superfood” era, blueberries were called “star berries” and renowned for their healing properties. Dark, sweet and plump, their juicy flavour comes through perfectly in cakes, jams – and this satisfying blend of black tea, elderberries, cornflowers and stevia. It’s the perfect companion to your morning toast.

Ingredients
Organic black tea, Organic black currants, Organic elderberries, Organic blueberries, Natural blueberry flavouring, Organic raspberry flavouring, Cornflower petals, Organic stevia extract.

Instructions
1-2 Perfect Spoonfuls of tea
475 ml (16 oz) of 95℃/200℉ water for hot tea or 295 ml (10 oz) for iced

I really enjoyed this one although I spilt over half of it and broke my mug! Thankfully Davids replaced it for me! Tastes exactly like fresh blueberries. I added a little milk and sugar, which really helped the blueberry pop and gave it a nice creaminess.

I really like that this is a black tea- but it is low enough in caffeine to enjoy anytime. The flavor is really nice and strong. The only thing I dont like is the stevia. It is better iced than hot in my opinion. It is also really good mixed with forever nuts.

Oh, it’s been a long long time since I’ve had this.

It is hard not to compare to 52Teas Blueberry Cream Cheese Danish which I think may be creamier. I would need to do a taste test side by side.

But honestly, this one is pretty fab too. It is sweet, but appropriately so. The blueberry flavours are natural and true, or at least, they appear to be.

One really great thing about having an out of control stash, among the less fabulous feelings of overwhelm and panic, is poking about and coming across a well loved blend from early on in your tea journey.

I had been a bit concerned that given DT’s more recent trend of overly sweetened and overly artificial flavourings that this tea would have been a disappointment, especially after a considerable time drinking pretty fabulous teas from other blenders and getting a better appreciation of quality straight teas. And also, there’s the distinct possibility that my tastes may change or may have changed as I continue along in tea world.

But, nope, I still enjoy this and will likely continue to do so.

Okay brewed this up again. Amazing what a proper steep and hot temperature can do for a cup of tea! I like this a lot. Could do without the stevia of course, but it’s much less noticeable when hot, and that bitterness is gone too. I’m so glad, I really wanted this to be a good tea for the work day! (Although why is this low caffeine for a black tea I wonder?) Nothing can beat the beautiful dry scent though….

This makes a dark brown tea. It tasted watery to me at first, but I added a little sweetener and that really brought out the flavor of the blueberries. Fruity teas are not my first pick, but this is a pretty tasty afternoon treat.

Delicious way to start the day. It did not hurt that blueberry bagels & blueberry cream cheese were in the lounge this morning. Twas meant to be. Next time I am dying to try this as a latte—I saw someone made one with eggnog and that combo sounds phenomenal.
Have a great day everyone.

This tea… IS AMAZING. It tastes exactly like its namesake! Despite the name, it isn’t overwhelmingly sweet or overpowering. It has a nice flavour of blueberries and black tea just as it’s intended to. Love it! Can’t wait to get more! :)

Nice mix of fruity and earthy – blueberry flavor definitely comes through but the tea base is solid behind it. There’s not a hint of sourness, but it’s not sweet, either. If I had known about the stevia, I probably wouldn’t have gotten this as I get a really bitter taste from it – but for whatever reason, I don’t taste it in here. It isn’t sweet like a “dessert tea,” but is still sweet enough to make you feel like you just had a treat (which is great for those of us watching our diet!).

Backlog. I picked up a little of this tea to try, as I haven’t before, even though its part of their core collection. To be honest, its an okay tea, blueberry tasting, but not like real blueberries. I wouldn’t buy more of it. I’ve only had it hot, but maybe its good as a latte or something? EH. Nothing special.
