Wow!!!! Thanks Sil for sending this in a swap.

The tea is white tea leaves with small yellow flowers in it.

After brewing, I smelled the tea an exclaimed, to no one as I was alone in the house, “Wow! That smells good!”. I have been sitting and smelling it for the last 10 minutes. I didn’t even want to taste it becuase it smelled so good. It smells like juicy canteloupe. There is also a creamy scent. So far it definitely lives up to its name.

And it tastes just like canteloupe. Wow (again)! This is one good tea. I am going to cherish my sample of this one.

Thanks a bazillion Sil!

Mmm, after that little rooibos misadventure this is really hitting the spot. So much for deciding to have no more caffeine for the day, heh

I remember the first time I drank this, while I loved it, I found I didn’t understand why it was called ‘cream’ since I wasn’t picking up on it, but I sure am noticing it now! It’s SO creamy, that I can’t believe I didn’t notice it before. To the point that I just want to guzzle its comfortingness instead of calmly enjoying like the image of white tea I have in my mind. :) Not that that’s a bad thing of course.

I need to preface this note with a declaration: Butiki Teas are AWESOME. I ordered quite a few teas lately (taking advantage of the very generous Black Friday sale they had). I have not yet written notes for most of them, but I have tried almost all. What I can say is that they are works of art, each and every one. The look, the aroma, and the taste. Oh, the taste – the taste of the Tamarind Pop tea has even appeared in my dreams. So yeah, I’m mighty impressed with these teas.

Now this one is cantaloupe through and through. I am usually skeptical about flavored white tea. White tea is so gentle, it’s flavor very subtle. Flavoring often is either too light or overpowering the gentle white taste. This one is not like that. The taste of the Bai Mu Dan comes through and is enhanced by the juicy taste of the cantaloupe. The tastes really compliment each other without taking over.

and WOW, this is so very cantaloupe! I really don’t know how she does it. It smells like cantaloupe and it tastes like liquid cantaloupe. There is also a faint creaminess about it, making it a bit softer, rounding out the edges on the fruitiness.

Amazing tea! Honestly, I’d be happy to just sit and savor the scent coming out of my cup, but it tastes even better than it smells.

There are many good flavored teas that I enjoy, but some just seem to be above them all. This is one of them.

This is really quite an interesting tea, thank you to Sandy for sending me a sample of this.

It is somewhat shocking how much this tastes like cantaloupe. Cantaloupe with an a (thankfully Steepster spellchecks!). I taste the cantaloupe first, followed by a bit of a dry peppery taste that must be the white tea. I’m not getting the cream so much, but I’m noticing most people did a 3+ steep on this one, and we only did a 2. I don’t know if I’m missing it or not. The tea doesn’t necessarily ‘need’ it.

Another quality, flavorful tea from Butiki. I’m glad to have had a chance to try them!

This was very nice! I don’t ever eat cantaloupes because I find them to be too sweet, but I thought I might like this tea anyway, because it would be sugar-free, and I do.

Another sample from Stephanie !!! I was so excited to try this!!! I absolutely love Butiki Teas Watermelon Xylophone and I dont know why but just the look of this tea reminded me of that. And guess what?! I love this one too! The odd thing is though, I absolutely can not stand the actual cantaloupe melon, but love cantaloupe flavored things. My first encounter with cantaloupe flavors was when I went on this boba/bubble tea/smoothie kick and cantaloupe became my absolute favorite. Odd, i know. ha ha. Well anyways… at first glance this tea is so beautiful. The blooms are breathtaking. The smell is very…hmmm… cantaloupey. ha ha. I love it. i love it. I absolutely love it. Thank you thank you thank you Stephanie …I just wish there was so much more of it! I want this iced but unfortunately there is barely enough for one more serving. I have hover been re steeping this. I am on the third steep already and am still loving ever drop of it. I just really wish I had the money to order this, but I am a student, on my own. Definitely on my wishlist. Amazing blend Butiki Tea. I love everything you do!

Stephanie

The watermelon xylophone is one of my faves too :) and this one of course. Have you tried the creamy eggnog or maple pecan oolong? Those are the other butiki teas I can’t live without!

I have not but have had my eye on them for some time now. I just can’t afford it:/

I was in one of those moods today where I didn’t really want to try anything new and risk the possibility of an unpleasant brew. At first I wanted a straight tea, but couldn’t think of anything that appealed to me more than this lovely blend. Such a perfect melding of flavors and a wonderful creamy-juicy mouthfeel. I think I’m going to have to keep it permanently stocked for days like this.

I’ve had so much of this tea and haven’t written a tasting note yet! The scent is beautiful, buttery and sweet. Plus, melon teas have a special place in my heart.

Sipping, this is a very mellow blend. I was expecting something a bit stronger, but it’s still pleasant. The melon is subtle and is dominated by the rather buttery white tea. I like this tea base because it lends a bit of a bitter melon rind flavor to the end of the sip. It feels very full and thick as well. Very delicious!

I only wish that this tea could be with even MORE of that juicy melon flavor. Yes, it’s yummy, but I want more delicious melon!

I’ve been saving my sample of this award-winning organic Bai Mu Dan for the right evening. As I pour this pale gold tea, it’s delightful fragrance has me in anticipation. I almost think I catch a faint whiff of brown sugar. The taste is smooth, creamy and natural.Yummy, this is truly reminiscent of fresh cantaloupe from summertime. The second steep is equally flavorful. A wonderful blend that with a little sweetener is perfect for a dessert tea, but hubby likes it straight too.

First off I’d like to thank Stacy for sending me this sample!

The first thing I noticed about this tea was how beautiful the leaves/blossoms are, followed by a floral sweetness in the aroma. After steeping, the aroma was green with a lingering creamy sweetness to it.

Tasting this tea, it was so light and delicate. Floral and juicy. Perfect for a hot summer’s afternoon. I added just the tiniest touch of sweetener to my cup and the flavors danced in my mouth. I can definitely see why this tea is a popular one at Butiki!
