If you like cantaloupe and cream then this is the tea for you. You get exactly what the name says; it is amazing. If you add brown sugar it makes a sweet dessert, the sugar brings out the sweet cantaloupe notes.

So time for round two of this melon tea extravaganza. This has a subtle cantaloupe/honeydew scent dry. I will admit to cheating a little with the amount of leaf used, going by my previous two instances of following the brewing instructions to a T (again, major punface) with Butiki teas.

In the cup, the melon flavour remains, but with an added smoothness to it. Taste wise, the flavouring is fairly subtle, and nicely rounded off by the ‘cream’ element, which, to me, carries some sweetness and is definitely close to being a full-on vanilla-esque note.

Placed in the larger melon tea context, the cream really sets this one apart – of course it’s impossible to compare it to a boozy Lupicia oolong like the one I tried yesterday, which is bound to offer so much more complexity of flavour, but something like cream or vanilla would have made that tea impossible to resist.

Again, I stress the tentative nature of this grade, seeing as I have more melon teas to try.

Um. Wow. This tastes as good as it smells which is reallllly good. The fiancé even likes this and he doesn’t normally do white tea. The cantaloupe flavor hits you immediately and then leaves a lovely creamy aftertaste. Fresh and juicy and just delicious! I will have to try this with a bit of rock sugar like they suggest.

I received a sample of Cantaloupe & Cream from Courtney about a week or so ago and I just got around to steeping a cup of it this morning. Initially, I was looking to steep something with an unnecessary amount of caffeine due to a certain four month old who felt that 6:00 am would be the perfect time to start her Sunday. I went with Cantaloupe & Cream instead because I was lazy and this was the first tea I saw when I opened up my cupboard.

The first thing I noticed about this tea were the little yellow flowers. It’s really a very attractive dry tea.

I was a bit skeptical in regards to what a cantaloupe tea would taste like but, again, the world of tea has shocked and amazed me. This tea was unlike any other tea I had tried and the cantaloupe flavor was delightful. do; however, have to admit that I couldn’t find any cream flavor to it, although this didn’t have any effect on how much I enjoyed this tea.

I steeped a second cup with the same infuser full of tea and I found it to be a lot less flavorful as the first. Perhaps if I had steeped the second cup for a few additional minutes, it would have made a difference, but it with still delicious nonetheless.

I steep longer for my second steep, and I believe Stacy also recommends adding some sugar to this one as well, if you so feel the need :) Sometimes I add sugar, but usually I don’t. I’m glad you enjoyed it!

The afternoon is my white/green tea time of day and I chose this one today as it’s been a while since I had it, I think probably the day I received it in the mail.

I am not a big fan of melons in general, I only have the occasional piece of watermelon, and I’m talking like once a year. I wouldn’t even touch other melons, including cantaloupe. I do like the occasional melon flavoured candy (nerds is the only one that comes to mind right now). I ordered this tea because it was on sale and it had such amazing reviews!

I always steep my whites in warm water because I am not big on waiting around for tea. I usually forget about them and they turn bitter. I hate when I ruin white teas. This one probably steeped for 15 minutes today and it was AMAZING! So delicate and delicious! It is such a natural melon flavour, but better! I can’t attest to the flavour being specifically cantaloupe as I haven’t had one in 15 years or so, but it doesn’t really matter what melon it tastes like to me. Why can’t an actual melon taste like this!

Now this isn’t a tea I would have everyday only because of my dislike for melons. I have to be in the mood. But I would recommend this tea to anyone, whether you love melons or not, it is just that good. Bumping up my rating because it was way better than I remember. I must have over-steeped a bit last time.

To be fair, this tea tastes exactly like a cantaloupe. There are some teas that smell strongly of a flavor, but don’t always taste as strong. This one does. However, I didn’t like it. I love cantaloupe and I love tea. The problem is that I prefer my cantaloupe cold and my tea hot. Also, this is the third tea I have tried with a “cream” flavor and I think I can safely say that I’m not a fan of the cream flavored teas.

I’m actually thinking I migght cold brew the last of this to see if I like it better chilled :)

Shelley_Lorraine

I definitely think this would be a good choice for iced tea. But I’ve always preferred hot drinks to cold. I might try it anyway though.

I’m mostly a hot tea drinker myself, but when gardening season comes around I like to have some cold refreshment too!

So this is Sample #3 from Chuckie, as you can see I am having an uneventful day of work that has been pretty much compromised of doing some paperwork and drinking lots of tea, relaxing but slightly boring, so why not spice things up by trying a bunch of new teas.

This is the first tea I have had from Butiki and I must say wow, I could tell from the dry aroma that this was going to be a flavorful tea, and it certainly is. Dry it has an amazingly creamy cantaloupe smell very pronounced by not artificial or overpowering.

Steeped the aroma of the tea is cut back slightly, but in all honesty it is a very slight amount. It is an extremely clear brew with a slight golden color to it. It has an amazing cantaloupe smell to it that reminds me of a brunch buffet or something with a huge platter of fruits.

I certainly approve of this tea, I look forward to trying some of their other blends. For me this would be a great tea to have with breakfast, and as with the previous Teavana tea I reviewed it would probably be pretty good iced.

Edit: Had to increase my rating on this, tasted great warm. Got caught up doing some work and it cooled off and I think it tastes even better! scored 85, totally raising it to 100. Probably be one of the first I order from Butiki.

I can’t believe it’s been months since I drank this. It’s a perfect summer tea! Hot. it’s good, and cold, it’s refreshing and doesn’t have the tartness associated with so many fruit flavoured teas.

I love cantaloupe = I love this tea.

Cantaloupe is my favorite fruit. So I had huge expectations for this tea. Let me just say, it did nit disappoint. The dry tea smelled exactly like cantaloupe. I was hoping this would taste strongly if melon & not just a hint of it. This is delicious. It’s got a terrific flavor. The creaminess is amazing. This will be forever in my permanent stash. Stacy, this is perfection!
