I actually love this tea. It’s great with lots of milk and not too much sugar. I can definitely taste the pumpkin, and I don’t find the clove notes overwhelming at all. It’s a nice, light autumn flavor. I’m always jealous of my coffee-loving friends who get so excited about their Pumpkin Spice lattes, so I’m glad to have an affordable, delicious option of my own!

Bigelow Tea

We are so happy to hear how much you love our Pumpkin Spice…..it definetly is a great alternative to flavored coffees, when trying to capture the flavor of fall.
Thanks so much for sharing with us,

This is ok seasonally, for variety, but it’s not great.

The spices are mild, and there’s something fruity/vegetable-y in there that could be the pumpkin. It all combines pretty cohesively. I don’t like it quite as much as the Republic of Tea one, but it’s pretty solid. Thanks tea-and-cats!

Another sipdown! I bought this in that holiday set with the cranberry herbal tea from yesterday. I’m not a huge fan of pumpkin spice, btw, so this is not something I would buy individually for myself! This tea is just ok. It’s slightly pumpkin and slightly spiced, but mostly some sort of ambiguous artificial flavoring. That being said, I gave this to a lot of friends for Christmas and they pretty much all loved it. I think if you like pumpkin spice things, you’ll like it.

I worked hard comparing this to Bigelow’s Vanilla Chai. The difference seems to be the ginger and licorice in this one, whereas the Chai has more cloves. Other reviewers have added orange to the tasting notes, but I didn’t taste any citrus or fruit flavors until I read the notes. If it is there, it’s extremely faint. The two teas certainly smell different, but the taste is very similar. The Pumpkin Spice is a tad sweeter while the Chai is warmer, if that makes any sense. It is still something I would still buy every year.

To quote Calvin: “Happiness isn’t good enough for me! I demand euphoria!”
This means that I demand 15 hours of Vivaldi on Spotify and a cup of this with a splash of milk.
Creamy, spicy, sweet, tannic, brisk, seasonally appropriate, and low-maintenance. ’Nuff said.

Calvin as in Hobbes? Mercy, I miss that comic strip! Bigelow seasonal goodies like this are a little hard to find around here, so when they are available, I tend to snag them indiscriminately. I believe I have tried and liked this one in the past, for all the reasons you cited above.

@gmathis Yes! Calvin and Hobbes is still one of my very favorite comic strips. I miss it too. This is my favorite caffeinated pumpkin spice offering for sure. It’s not a flavor that I reach for frequently, but sometimes it hits the spot. I hope you’re well.

I like pumpkin spice, including it in my hot drinks. Other pumpkin spice teas have been rooibos or other, I prefer black tea. This is black tea and pumpkin spice :).

I’m not normally a big fan of Bigelow teas, but, for some reason, I recall drinking this tea last fall and enjoying it and, I think, may have coveted a few bags.

Upon brewing, though, it was not as I had recalled so I think it my review could be off the mark, if my recollection is correct and the bags I have on-hand are about a year old, making their flavor much less flavorful. ;)

I will buy a new box once I run through my currently piled up teas and see if my review remains the same. If so I will update this one.

I found this to be bland with little flavor. I’m usually a big fan of autumn brews (harvest, pumpkin, cinnamon), but this one missed the mark for me.

Ashmanra’s sipdown challenge – July 2024 Tea #9 – A tea you will re-order

How and why was this not in my cupboard? argh. oh wait… I think it was because I bought it when my dad was in the hospital years ago and I had so few tea options with me.  I have a few teabags left.  I can’t believe I have only logged this ONCE.  It might be my favorite tea possibility offered in a grocery store. I would 1,000% buy it again. When I see it, I will scoop it up. It is great when I am craving pumpkin (on this rainy day).  And if the only reason I would buy it again IS BECAUSE THEY ACTUALLY ADD PUMPKIN FLAKES TO THE BLEND then that is good enough of a reason for me.  This might be the only pumpkin tea to actually have pumpkin. (But PLEASE prove me wrong in the comments!) Even my beloved, magical Spiced Pumpkin Pie from Bird & Blend doesn’t have pumpkin in it. Raising the rating from 77.
