My sister and I were in the city for a dentist appointment so we decided to pick up some pasta for dinner from a small shop where everything is made fresh by little Italian grandmothers. This shop also happens to be located pretty close to Toronto’s Cheesecake Factory so we went there too to grab some cheesecake to bring home.
My usual Cheesecake Factory order is a slice of Carrot Cake and a slice of Carrot Cake Cheesecake. However, they don’t have the latter so I went with something new. I considered a Cinnamon Bun one or Mango Lime but ended up getting the Pineapple Upside Down Cheesecake instead. Having now tried it, it was fine but I likely wouldn’t get it again. So many other great options.
However, when having my cheesecake, I decided to make a tea to have with it. Guess I was feeling pineapple since I grabbed this tea. Alas, I drastically overloaded it, using a DAVIDsTEA perfect teaspoon of leaf in a 16 oz mug except it was a new perfect teaspoon and thus about 2.5 tsps of tea which is way more than the recommended amount by 52 Teas.
I am blaming my overleafing because this mug is smoke and leather. Nothing distinctly pineapple at all, which is highly unexpected since I’ve had this before and know it has a great pineapple flavour. So the tea and the cake were both just ok. Hopefully Wall-E, which I am watching for the first time, is a little more pleasing…
You haven’t seen Wall-E yet? I hope you have enjoyed it!
It was cute. Not my favorite Pixar movie by far but it was still enjoyable.
Dude. You hadn’t seen wall-e!?
lol I thought you might not be too impressed with me for that one :P
