173 Tasting Notes
I blended this with the white peach from Adagio. 2tsp white peach to 1 1/2tsp of peachberry for 16oz of water. 185 degrees F, 3ish minutes. This one was very floral. I got some fruity hints, but mostly floral. I guess I should have expected that considering the ingredient list (jasmine green pearls, hibiscus, rosehips) Made the pot for the hubby and myself, he likes his tea sweetened. It kinda brought out some fruitiness, but not really. Oh well. I don’t see myself buying this one again, but we shall see.
I have to note before I go on that I blended two teas for this tasting note. I used Adagio’s White Peach, which I received as a free sample, and Teavana’s Peachberry Jasmine Sutra. I found myself wanting more peach and tea flavor to the Teavana tea, thus came about this experiment. I did 2tsp white, and 1tsp peachberry, and made two cups. The re-steep was good as well. I had this hot.
If you come across this note and you have a favorite peach tea, let me know in the comments! I’m always looking for recommendations :)
Preparation
Received this tea as a gift in the “Sakura Allure” giftset. I love the tumbler, it is so pretty! The matching tea tin is gorgeous as well. On to the tea though! I really enjoy fruity green teas, normally reaching for those instead of “pure” green teas. Why? Sometimes green tea can be too… vegetal. I’ve only had it hot, but this is on my list to try iced.
Preparation
I got a cup of this tea to go while I was shopping at a local open air mall. It was really chilly out and the hot, sweet, cinnamony perfection of this tea just really hit the spot. I waited to buy this tea when it was 75% off and got a rather large tin for $14. WIN. lol. The first few times I tried making this tea at home however, I was consistently let down. It took me a while to get the brewing on this one right. Heat water just below boiling. For me, 2 1/2 tsp per 8oz of water gives it enough strength and body.
This tea does seem rather “dusty” at the bottom, and I do agree that it can be “oily” as well. I think it would be an awesome tea to try as a latte though- yum!
Preparation
I read through the reviews here first, and maybe I shouldn’t have. It always makes me question my taste because I actually quite like this tea, unlike so many reviewers here. I liked that peachy-peach taste, and I imagine this would be really good iced. My hubby even liked this one, and he normally only ever drinks really really sweet southern iced tea. Anywho, I got a free sample of this with my most recent order, and someone gifted me another sample that I’ll add to my next order. Yay for freebies!
Absolutely one of my favorite teas! Not as strong as a regular earl grey, with those hints of creamy vanilla and caramel. The white blueberry just lends a sweet fruity softness too it, yet isn’t overpowered by the black teas and bergamot.
One other thing I love about this tea- Adagio adds in an extra ounce since the TARDIS is bigger on the inside ;) Gotta love that! I will definitely keep buying this tea for as long as they have it available.
Preparation
This was much better than I was expecting it to be. A lot of times I find black tea to be too astringent. This Earl Grey was lovely! It still had that strength to it, and the citrus was just right. Maybe all those “tippy” tea leaves made all the difference! Anyway, I really enjoyed this and am glad I got a bag or two from my sis.
Preparation
Love the smell of this tea! It has a light fruity taste. I’ve been making it hot lately but the few times I tried it iced it was really good as well. Made it today before going into work- a nice little cup of tea to help me relax before I start the crazy of working retail, lol
