173 Tasting Notes
I needed a fun pick-me-up tea for the evening. Thank you movie night tea! It really did turn into a movie night though. I watched two documentaries on national parks, but then I followed up with two Disney movies lol. All the while I was on the computer trying to figure out my student loans. Apparently my school never received my entrance counseling verification. Very frustrating situation to be in (especially since halfway through double checking my forms I got booted off the site for “schedule site maintenance”) I guess I’ll be calling at 8am Monday morning to figure things out!
My last tea of the night. I enjoyed this oh so very much. It wrapped me up in a friendly hug and said “there there darling.” I had an emotionally taxing day of incessant worrying and planning, and definitely needed a delicious tea to wind down with. So sweet was this tea to me tonight, that I’ve already decided that I need to start my day with it tomorrow.
Preparation
Soothing tea. It’s been a rough day. Still is. Hopefully it will get better.
Thanks guys! Today was supposed to be my day off but I kept getting calls from work. All. Day. Long.
I’ve also been stressing about starting medical school here in June. There’s a lot of prep and paperwork and I just want to make sure I’m on top of everything. I tend to do a lot of needless worrying though. The hubby turned things around and made tonight “date night” for us, thank goodness. It was nice to have a night out with him.
I know what you mean about needless worrying, I do it on a daily basis unfortunately :( happy your hubby could help turn your day around! They always know how to make you feel better:) try not to stress too much! Luckily tea helps with not stressing:)
Today must be my day for tea, because all the ones I’ve had today so far have been delightful, when previously they were just okay. This was not as rosy as I remember before. The taste was lovely, subtle, chocolate strawberry. I may end up making a bit more of this. It’s not something I would have originally thought of buying once I’m done with my sample. I may just have to reconsider…
On a totally unrelated topic, I’ve been car shopping lately! I took a Fiat 500 “Pop” out for a test drive and loved it way more than I thought I would. I still have one other car I’d like to test drive before I make a decision, however, the Fiat is better price wise. I’m really excited about it. Hopefully my only dilemma will be deciding which color to get!
Preparation
I was going to reach for an earl grey to have with breakfast, but my hand reached for this one instead. More enjoyable than I remember- not that I have bad memories of this, but I was a little underwhelmed.
*side note: whelm is a strange word…
Today this was just really smooth. Laid back and mellow on the spice. I did not really get any orange. However, like I said, just really smooth which I very much enjoyed.
Preparation
I seem to do a lot of premeditated impulse buying. At first that doesn’t seem like it makes sense, but let me put it in context for you. I knew I was going to put in an order with David’s (that darn teal mason jar drew me in!) and I knew I wanted free shipping. So all that was left was to fill my cart with goodies until I hit that mark. I certainly added ones I had “on my list” but then I was all “ooh this one sounds yummy!!” *click. Oopsie.
So far so good, and no buyers remorse. I was pleasantly surprised with this one. Especially surprised because I don’t really care for red velvet. I’ve been making it every year for the past nine years for my husband for his birthday since we’ve been together. He goes crazy for it. So I had him in mind when I bought this, hoping to break him of his “Arizona sweet tea only” tea drinking habits. I tried it though and it was actually cakey. I really liked that. I could barely keep my eyes open though sipping it, and I’m having a rough time typing here )thank goodness for autocorrect! Lol
So, sometimes I just can’t help myself. I see these in the grocery store and usually pick up a few if they are on sale. It’s still a twenty minute drive through the country to get home from “in town” so I like to have a little something to drink on the way home. Sure this one has a ton of sugar still, but it somehow feels better than pop, ya know?
