Travelling Tea Box C
mmmmm… lovely!
This tea literally caused a squabble between two of my co-workers. I kid you not! I let Co-worker A smell it because she in interested in tea and she just fell in love with it and wanted to try it. She stepped away to rinse her mug and Co-worker B took the bag to get some for herself. Co-worker A got really jealous when she came back because she though there wouldn’t be enough for two.(There was plenty for both and more besides). Co-worker A snaps at Co-worker B and drama ensued. In the end both got tea, but both of them are still slightly sulky.
The dragonwell base is a little darker than a lot of the ones I’ve had, but still buttery. I get why the description would call it butterscotch The strawberry is lovely and fresh -nothing artificial about it! I only get the slightest warmth from the ginger. Overall, this is warm, light and spring-like.
I might have to keep this tea from the box in order to keep my co-workers from squabbling again! :-)
Travelling Tea Box C
Spicy Cherry by Herbal Infusions
Tastes slightly like a Luden’s cough drop. Artificial cherry flavor w/a little bit of floral reinforcement. A nice, earthy rooibos and just a touch of chili pepper that brightens the whole thing up. Ok, but not likely to be a favorite.

I usually really like Yunnans, but this one was exceptionally bitter. There was a bright copperiness to it that I didn’t like. Onward to other teabox teas!

So I’ve only been lurking occasionally on Steepster for the last couple of months due to many reasons, but trying to buy less tea being one of them. Getting the tea box is a good reason to start logging consistently again.
The scent of the dryleaf is quite yummy! In fact, so yummy I needed to make more for members of my family and I finished up the little bit that was left in the packet. The grapefruit really shines here.
The taste is more balanced between the grapefruit and orange- a really nice, bright, juicy citrus The lemon grass is also really strong- maybe just a tad too strong for me, but not enough to turn me off of the tea. It’s a very nice tea to enjoy on this chilly evening.
Thanks, Nicole_Martin for this tea!
This is an excellent chocolate tea- Probably the best I’ve had. The chocolate is not too chemically tasting, like most of the ones I’ve had. It has just the right balance between sweet and spicy. Quite yummy!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! Get more chai-tea choices and other great blends on www.mychaidiaries.com
Sipdown!
I sent the rest of this off for swaps, so now I’m out of it! It’s got a lot of mellow, green-bean tones that I associate with high-mountain teas and then it also has a nice savory kick to it with a pleasant, mild astringency. I like the 2nd steep the best, because the savoriness really starts to blend in with the mellow bean flavor.
Thanks, Greenteafairy, for this tea!!
I’ve been on a plum tea kick lately. The oolong base is light and vegetal. The flavoring is more floral than fruity. It is too heavy with the sweet rose, but never gets to the point where it is cloying. I don’t get very much plum flavor. If anywhere I detect the plum in the depth of the flavor, preventing the rose from becoming to bright, but it is not independent at all.
Thanks, greenteafairy, for this tea!!
This was so refreshing this morning! I love citrus teas and this one was kind of surreal because I felt like I was eating a grapefruit while drinking this hot. It has the bittersweet tang of a grapefruit and it seems to pops when you sip it like pieces of grapefruit do. The base has a warm, dark bitter greens kind of taste. It adds depth to the grapefruit and prevents it from becoming overly bright.
Overall a brilliant and surreal tea for a surreal morning involving a brain in a box. (I work in a neurology office.)
Ah, tea fights. Ha ha.
:D I made a tea syrup out of this one last night but I have yet to try it…can’t wait :D
This is hilarious.
I feel like this tea needs a warning label: May turn adults into squabbling toddlers.
The gloves are going off over tea. Love it.
