464 Tasting Notes
Still one of my favorite teas. I love it because I don’t have to use a lot of it to get a big cup out of it.
Steepster has made me excited about trying new teas. Just ordered a bunch of samples from Della Terra and Butiki Teas because a lot of people on here seem to love the tea from there.
I may need to get some more tea diffusers for my house because the whole family has been benefiting from my tea experiments. This morning I made some more Pink Flamingo for my mother (she’s had 4 cups of this in the last two days) and orange chocolate for my brother.
My sister got a lot of this for me for my birthday in February hoping that it would end my search for the perfect blackberry tea. The tea is good, but the rooibos definitely overpowers the blackberry. I didn’t like this tea at first, but it has grown on me. It tastes much better sweetened with honey and I have to be careful not to steep it for too long or else it just tastes too muddy. If steeped for just a couple of minutes, it tastes rich and smooth with just a light, fruity undertone. I’ll often drink it with breakfast or a meal, but not on its own as the main attraction.
Twinings Orange and Cinnamon Spice Tea is one of my go-to bagged teas when I’m too lazy to get out my loose leaf stuff. I started drinking it before I even knew what Rooibos was and I like it in this blend. It’s a really fruity, spicy, and full-bodied tea.
It was just what I wanted after my 4-mile run today. It was my first run back after taking two weeks off due to a nasty upper respiratory infection, so I was coughing a bit after. This helped calm it right down.
My first time trying a Pu’erh Tea. I don’t really know what I’m supposed to taste, but I do taste a light chocolate and a very little bit of citrus. It’s somewhat pleasant, but there is again a little chemical taste to it, which I can’t place. It tastes a little like a bad chocolate orange candy.
Just ok. I wish I had bought the package of Pink Flamingo that I got to go from David’s Tea this morning. I’ve been craving a cherry tea and this one smelled pretty good. The taste does not match up to the smell though. There is a chemical taste to it. I will finish what I got of it, but I won’t buy it again.
Oh yum! This tastes a lot like pink lemonade! Definitely tastes like grapefruit, but I think that’s the hibiscus mixing with the citrus they have in it. I barely taste the lemon grass, which is a good thing because that can easily get overpowering. The eucalyptus is just enough to let the scent waft up your nose pleasantly. This is an excellent tea and just the “Zing!” that I needed to get going this morning. I bet this would make an amazing iced tea.
This tea definitely would have been better as a latte. I had it at the DavidsTea Store and they made it with a hint of honey for me. The black tea was so strong, I felt like it overpowered the rest of the flavors. I should have added milk, I think it would have mellowed the tea a bit and allowed the sweetness to come out.
