An enjoyable, simple blend with a hint of smokiness. Add a dash of milk to soften the edges.

Not sure if I am preparing this correctly – water just off the boil and steep for four minutes. The results are spectacularly underwhelming. Just a hint of any flavor and the liquor is nearly non-existent. Perhaps I am in possession of some incredibly old tea? I ordered directly from their website though…

From experience I think H&S’s loose teas are sooo much better than their bagged teas.

Cofftea

That would be because all loose teas are better than bagged.

Simple and grassy, no bitterness. Subtle but complex. I don’t make this tea as nearly as often as I should!

I keep trying to give this tea the benefit of the doubt, but it turns out horribly bitter every time. I have tried fully boiling water, water cooled to about 190, even to 180, varied steeping time, but it still is extremely bitter.

Having with breakfast on a leisurely Saturday morning. A smooth, round flavor with no bitterness. Brewed with slightly cooled water (bring to full boil in kettle, remove kettle lid and wait 2 minutes, then steep), served with a few drops of milk.

Gets the day started. Let boiling water cool for two minutes, then pour over leaves and steep for four minutes. Remove leaves and add a dash of milk. Occasionally some dust gets through the strainer I use and remains in the cup, but that adds an extra touch of bitterness to help wake me up.
