259 Tasting Notes
Today I steeped this tea a little hotter than I normally do. I’m pleased to say that it handled the abuse quite well. Just a hint of bitterness at the end of each sip, which overall goes well with the earthy, smoky flavors present in this blend.
Preparation
A breakfast-style cut loose-leaf tea. The flavor is good, but there isn’t anything that really stands out about this tea either – let’s say that I am not anticipating another cup as soon as I am finished with the one I have. Still, a serviceable tea that is better than some others.
Preparation
Definitely an afternoon or evening tea. Perhaps an alternative to after-dinner coffee. I bet this would go well with a classic New York Cheesecake. There is a barest hint of caramel in this that would come to the fore with said cheesecake. Alas, no cheesecake in my immediate area, but a cold, stormy day works just as well.
Preparation
An interesting white tea with a hint of vanilla. The grapefruit has a pithy aftertaste to it rather than the fruit itself, but oddly enough I like it. It might be not quite what others expect, though. Use a low temperature and steep long, but not too long.
