KANDY No. 23 by Steven Smith Teamaker.
(Steven Smith, the tea shaman who started Stash and TAZO before they were sold)
Kandy (named after a beautiful city in Sri Lanka) is a melange of full leaf Dimbulla with an aromatic and intense Uva and lightly scented high-grown Nuwara Eliya.
A sensual sipping pleasure any time you’re looking for tea nirvana.
This would be a tea to celebrate winning anything, but ESPecially a Tea-contest!
A blend of Ceylon Dimbulla, Uva and Nuwara Eliya full leaf teas
What an inspiring prize to offer. I would start with the Coconut Pouchong from Golden Moon tea. It sounds like it would be sublime.
Luck to all and blessings at the turn of the year.
Love the contest. I’ll definitely brew up some Pearl Golden Monkey first, when I win. ;-)
Awesome bundle of prizes you have there :-0
I’d brew some pu-erh, and put my lamp behind the teapot to watch the tea brew in all its glory! (just like the product shot..)
Awesome contest! That teapot is gorgeous. If I won I would brew up some of the Golden Monkey by Pearl Fine Teas first.
If I could try any of my teas first, I’d have Natela Gold Standard (from Georgia) because it has beautiful large leaves. If it had to be from the contest prizes, I’d try the 1001 nights (from the Black Tea Gift Set) because it sounds intriguing.
If I were to win, I’d first hold my new teapot as I did my first girlfriend. I’d caress it and love it forever. Then I’d brew Japanese Cherry Blossom Sencha. It’d look beautiful in that teapot. Mmmmm, love.
Steepster is pretty great and would be greater if I was steeping my tea in a beautiful teapot like that. :)
Great Contest!
If I won, the first tea I would make would be Maeda-en’s matcha. Need that boost of caffeine to calm my mind! And drinking out of the beautiful chawan would be very comforting! ^^
I’m w/ you!:) It’s odd… if I want something to energize me, I get my caffeine from coffee/espresso- if I want something soothing and comforting I go for matcha or steeped tea. Both have caffeine so the L-Theanine must be the difference.
Jade oolong from Pearl Fine Teas, most likely, though Art of Tea’s Halo may also be a good choice :)
Fantastic contest, Steepser!!!
Wonderful contest! I would LOVE to win. If I won, the first tea I would try is the Jasmine Pearls from the Steamy Sampler!!
