This (#86) is one of those weird one-off teas, where I have only this tea from this company and nothing else. But I love it. Bergamot and rose and passion fruit and LOVE. An appropriate Valentines tea, I guess. It almost reminds me of DF’s Amore, but I do like that one a little better, and I am more likely to order from DF in the future than Chado. Even so, this is still quite a tasty tea.

Hey, I remembered to have this tea (#87) this weekend! So it’s not even out of order on my tasting notes.

Still love this blend, and I do like having it in sachets for traveling. Drinking it also makes me miss Paris (the tea, not the city, although to be fair I often miss Paris the city), which is not in my cupboard right now. Should have picked some up when I was at Harney Soho at xmas time.

This tea (#88) is not quite the last of the Harneys, but my Tower of London sachets are at home so I will have to try to remember to revisit them this weekend.

Once again, a tasty single-fruit black tea. I am planning on mixing this one, my Rose Scented, and the Black Currant in various combinations and proportions for new and interesting cold brews. I’m pretty excited! Plus, taking all of these tins home means I can now put in all of the tea tins that have previously not been fitting in my cupboard. Woohoo!

Drank this one (#89) yesterday but I will log it now. Another of my Harney stock-up, and another that I really love. But I just don’t drink enough. I also really love this one as a cold brew so I am planning on taking all my Harney blacks home for cold brewing so I can appreciate them and drink them regularly.

It’s funny, for a long time I used cold brews of tea to quickly use up tea I didn’t like that much. I was always picking out teas I really wanted out of my cupboard. But, I’ve kind of run out of those, so now I have to tell myself that cold brewing is also something I can do to teas I really like, too. There have been some in the past (thinking of a few Lupicias) that I loved as cold brews, so maybe eventually I will get to a place where I can actually just have a rotating stock of cold brew teas that I actually love and wasn’t just trying to get rid of. It’s a nice thought.

Harney order time. This tea (#90) came into my cupboard at the same time as a few other Harneys, but I added it to my cupboard first so here it is.

Still rosey and delicious. I enjoy this one, but I don’t reach for “pure” rose black teas that much anymore. Or really any single-flavor tea, really; I seem to prefer an amalgamation of flavors these days. I have a lot of this one, and I have a lot of other plain rose blacks, so I am good for a while. Thinking of starting to cold brew this one because it is quite old and I do enjoy a nice iced rose black tea.

Like most of these old teas, this one (#91) is one that I enjoy but don’t crave often. I have maybe one more serving of my original 50g of this, but I have an unopened 50g of it from last years’ Happy Bag. Well, now it’s open because I opened it and dumped it into the now-empty tin, since I am taking the remaining of the original batch home to cold brew. This has definitely lost flavor, and even though it smells really good, it is nothing compared to the fresh stuff I just opened (“fresh,” it’s a year old but has been air-tight sealed the entire time).

Anyway, tasty, but perhaps another slightly summery tea.

This was the tea I had been putting off (#92). Honestly, it’s not that it tastes bad. It’s fine. But maté isn’t really my favorite. The jasmine is fading in this one; clearly the pearls in this are less high quality than some of my older jasmine greens, although I suppose that isn’t too surprising.

If I wait another year to drink it again it will probably be comepletely flavorless.

ETA: This is one of the few teas I still have left from back when I was buying tons of teas from new-to-me-companies on tea deals (so, buying larger amounts instead of trying things out via samples). Oh, how things have changed in my tea drinking habits.

This is another tea (#98) that I love the flavor of, but I just don’t crave lately. I can’t believe how well this white jasmine tea has aged. It is still fresh and delicious.

Maybe I am just not craving fruity and floral teas because it is winter. Who knows. I have to force myself to drink them, but when I do, I love them.

I know, I said I was going to be more active and post more often, and then I disappeared. I was kind of in a tea funk? I immediately got kind of bored with my cupboard run-through, and a lack of desire to drink one tea that was next (which I was supposed to drink today and STILL DID NOT DRINK) led to me kind of giving up for a while and just drinking some DF teas that I wanted to drink.

At least the intervening tries to get myself back on track led to me drink this tea (#99; I got rid of a sample in the intervening time so my cupboard dropped a number) multiple times? I’ve probably drank it more in the last month than I did all of last year.

I enjoy this tea. I don’t looooove this tea like I used to, but I am leaving the rating. I think I am in a more flavored tea swing, honestly. I just want to drink flowery French things all day. I guess I will be happy when I get to that part of my cupboard. But I did enjoy this cup, and really have no complaints.

Same as last year, this tea (#101) is still out of order on my cupboard, even though it too was purchased in Beijing in March of 2012. I guess I added it much later for some reason. I wish we could put “date purchased” on teas in the cupboard so that things like this wouldn’t be a problem, but then again there is a lot I wish about the cupboard page.

Anyway, I have several small vacuum sealed pouches of this tea, so one could say it is aging very well. It still tastes very fresh; sweet and floral and buttery and delicious. This was a tough purchase because the vendor spoke absolutely not a lick of English, but it was worth it. Yum.
