I think I got it! 2 cups water, 1 of these bags, 2 slices crystallized ginger, good squirt of honey in each cup. It’s very flavorful without having your lips on fire :) Still a leeeeetle too much black pepper for my taste, but I can deal with it this way.
Preparation
Owwwww! Hot, hot, hot! This is one spicy tisane! My lips were tingling! I had to look in the mirror after I finished my cup because I was afraid that I would look like those people who get lip injections!!! (nope, just my very active imagination).
What I am trying to say is this ginger tea was way too bitey for moi! I could see brewing it like this if I had a cold, but it was a bit much for evening enjoyment.
Thankfully, I do have an idea on how to make this more palatable! I am going to use 2 cups of water, 1 bag of tisane, and a slice of crystallized ginger next time! It should make it pleasantly bitey and sweet. I’ll letcha know!!
Preparation
Not bad, not bad. Certainly not my favorite chai, but then again, I’ve been having issues with Yogi lately.
Still a nice cup for waking up with though. Tea in the morning with breakfast? YES. (then tea in class, tea with lunch, tea snack, maybe tea dinner though by then I’m sometimes burned out, and tea late night treat. All my favorites.)
I was sent a sample of this in the mail. I love the flavor of this green tea! It is so nice and fruity, mostly blueberry but a hint of hibiscus. I will have to pick some of this up. I’m surprised I like this so much!
I really dislike this tea, but it works- when my throat is as sore as it is right now, I need some help. The sore throat is part of my annual late-summer/early autumn turning of the seasons cold. It’s always sinus and throat that act up. I dislike the taste of slippery elm bark, but force myself to use it because it IS such a good herbal remedy- it’s just kind of sickeningly, cloyingly sweet. If this review doesn’t make any sense I should probably refrain from reviewing things while ill, but I didn’t. Blorg!
Preparation
Steeped 8:30 (5-10 recommended). Smells very medicinal, tastes very herbal – tolerable, actually, but not one I’d drink for “fun”
hope it keeps me sore throat from becoming anything worse. There’s a nasty cold/bronchitis going around…
