This makes for a very pleasing iced tea. Plus, I find it very flavourful and it can be resteeped or do a whole jug with one teabag. Twining really does have some good teas, especilly for bagged tisanes and flavoured blends.
Flavors: Citrus Zest, Ginger, Lemon, Spicy
Such a nice mother’s day tea! I brewed a pot of this with 650 ml boiling water and two teabags for 6 minutes. I shared it with my grandmother and mother over sandwiches and fruit. I added 1 tsp creamed honey to sweeten the tea slightly, and I think that was the perfect amount for me, but some may prefer 2 tsp.
It was such a warm beautiful day today and all the flowers were blooming, this spicy citrus tea went perfectly. I could see this going really well over ice as well.
Nothing really stands out for me in this tisane, it is a standard lemon ginger, but I thought the flavour was pleasant and fresh.

Sipdown (139)!
Thank you for the sample Scheherazade!
Not entirely sure what a “bakewell” is? Based on the flavour, I’m definitely thinking some sort of pastry? Anywho, I drank this one as a commute tea on the way to work; from the moment I opened up the teabag wrapper this smelled really surprisingly amazing! Cherry pie filling, essentially…
Tasting Notes:
- "Cherry Filling/7-11 Cherry Pastry flavour
- Also a bit of a pudding/custard taste?
- Oddly makes me think of Banana Cream Pie
- Vegetal finish
- Weirdly satisfying?
The banana notes perplexed me quite a lot; not so sure where that was coming from at all. But overall I was delightfully surprised by this one. I’d totally drink it again.
Flavors: Cherry, Overripe Cherries, Pastries
I like this tea in the later morning, when I still want to be drinking something hot and invigorating, but don’t want the additional caffeine. The citrus fruit is bright and comforting.
Flavors: Bergamot, Lemon Zest, Orange Zest

Twinings’ Lady Grey is light, lemony, and very delicate. I’m feeling really under the weather today, so I reached for this simple blend for a bit of comfort. It reminds me of when I first started discovering tea when I was younger. For me, it’s a classic comforting cup.
I guess Twinings created it in the 90’s for Scandinavian nations that felt Earl Grey was far too pungent. It was a hit then, and for me it remains a faithful friend.
Did I mention that it is light..? XD

Two weeks ago, I gave up coffee. The jitters had gotten too much for me. I went looking for tea that I had stashed in my cupboard, and found a large box of English Breakfast, purchased a while ago, but the date on the box still said it was fine. So, I’ve been drinking it for the past little while, trying to use it up. It’s done the trick, but hasn’t been amazing. Now, I’m curious about tea, and realizing there’s a whole big world out there to be tasting and enjoying… As soon as this is gone, here comes other teas!
Preparation
Really fruity and flavourful! The mandarin gives a nice tang and sweetness. I don’t find this too sour, which is a nice surprise. I liked this as a strong iced tea, but if you don’t steep it too long it makes a nice hot tea as well.
Flavors: Citrus, Fruity, Orange, Orange Zest, Sweet, Tangy
Preparation
I found you could still taste the honeybush. The mandarin goes along with the honeybush instead of covering it up.
If you’re looking for a non-honeybush orange herbal, I’d suggest Celestial Seasoning’s Mandarin Orange Spice or Tangerine Orange Zinger. I enjoy both of those.
Trying to clear out old tea bags in my travel bag. I made this with boiling water and added a dash of soy milk. It’s fine, but not exceptional. I get some tannins and malt, but without the milk it wouldn’t be an enjoyable cup.
Flavors: Malt, Tannin
Preparation
For some reason I thought I didn’t enjoy Twinings English Breakfast because I remember it being weak and bitter. I always take home the tea bags they give you in hotel rooms, even if I don’t like the tea, so that is how I ended up with this teabag. I didn’t enjoy it as much as Red Rose, but it was not bitter on the first steep and I thought the flavour was pretty good. It got a bit bitter on the second steep, but it was not unpleasant. I wish it was more malty, but I think if I had added milk, the tea would have been smoothed out a bit.
Overall, there was not anything that really stood out for me with this blend, but it certainly wasn’t bad.
Flavors: Tannic
Preparation
(this review is for the pure chamomile in pyramid mesh sachets)
A nice chamomile, definitly enjoyable. Hints of the typical chamomile notes like sweet dry grass, lemon, dried meadow flowers. My sachet contained fairly fresh flowers (as opposed to the cheap old chamomile tea bags I normally prefer), so the cup was slightly more vegetal and had a bit more zing to it. Makes for lovely iced or hot tea drunk straight. It could probably tolerate milk and/or light sweetener or fresh fruit added (lemon, orange, or peach slices would work well).
Flavors: Citrusy, Dry Grass, Hay, Lemon, Sweet, Warm Grass
