Another little packet I received from TreeGal! Thanks so much! I felt like following my Lupicia’s coffee tea with another coffee tea today. This one is interesting (as in, potentially I might hate it) because the ingredients lists coffee grounds. I really like it better when a coffee flavor is artificial, I guess? Like Lupicia’s yesterday? No actual coffee. Otherwise, if a coffee element is genuine, it becomes too funky for me, as all coffee seems to be. Anyway, this is certainly better tasting to me than many other Steepsterers have experienced. There is definitely a coffee element throughout both steeps. But the coffee just seems a bit sour, again maybe it’s my coffee pickiness. There is also a sweet element as well, might be the cocoa beans. I don’t understand the chamomile in this blend at ALL. But it also doesn’t appear to result in the flavor. The color of the brew is neither too dark or too light, as this should be a puerh and black tea together. I wish more of the puerh made an appearance. Overall, a decent blend. However, I imagine the “coffee lovers” from the name might prefer coffee. But this isn’t terrible for a tea fan who wants a coffee flavored tea once in a while.
Steep #1 // 1 teaspoons for a full mug // 10 minutes after boiling // 3 minute steep
Steep #2 // just boiled // 3 minute steep
Another tea in the wonderful package from TreeGal. Again, I really appreciate it! A pumpkin chai from TeaRevv certainly will be interesting to me. The blend has some ingredients I haven’t seen in a pumpkin chai before, like rosehips? And hibiscus? Luckily, these didn’t result in the flavor too much, so I’m fine with it. I see the sprinkles that look like the sprinkles used in B&B’s pumpkin tea. However, sadly, this blend is not as fantastic as B&B’s blend. It isn’t bad. But much like most pumpkin teas, there is never an actual pumpkin element. (B&B at least uses carrots.) I think there is a higher ratio of black tea leaves than spices. The flavor is slightly spiced with hints of sweetness, not sure if it’s from that lone sprinkle. The black tea has medium depth, so it’s tasty enough for me. I’m not sure why this one gets such a low rating.
Steep #1 // 1 teaspoon for a full mug // 6 minutes after boiling // 2 minute steep
Steep #2 // just boiled // 3-4 minute steep
Thanks SO MUCH again for that awesome package, TreeGal! There were a handful of wrapped TeaRevv samples that looked like individual wrapped satchets (it said satchets on the outside of the packaging) but instead this had two teaspoons. So I get to enjoy TWO steep sessions of these TeaRevv teas instead of the one steep session I thought. So an extra surprise bonus! I’m not sure if these were from the advent or something? Anyway, very thrilled I get to try this company that I otherwise might never have had a chance to. I was looking for a healthy fresh green tea today so I went with this one. Let me tell you, I’m not a fan of ginger, but it is much more pleasant here than I thought it would be. The ginger doesn’t overpower the blend at all, and I’m glad because the green tea is so lovely. Buttery, fresh, bright, sweet. On the second steep, I could swear lemon was somehow included here. But it just keeps being sweet and delicious. The butter with the hints of ginger with the sweetness is almost like this is a natural ‘gingerbread cookie’ tea. I like this much better than I thought I would!
Steep #1 // 1 teaspoon for the smaller mug // 30 minutes after boiling // 2 1/2 minute steep
Steep #2 // 30 minutes after boiling // 2 1/2 minute steep
VariaTEA sample. Trying to work on a few more over the next couple days while i’m stuck at home by myself lol. This one was fine. It wasn’t super exciting, but it wasn’t bad either. Sort of a middle of the road, take it or leave it tea. I didn’t realy there was chamomille in here, but the coffee came through very lightly and didn’t over power the cup. All in all, a totally fine cup of tea.
Thanks so much for sending this one over in that glorious package, TreeGal! This one sounds intriguing. I thought this might be something I might like, though to be honest, I’m not picky and will enjoy almost every tea. :D The dry blend looks lovely with these amaranth flowers. Upon steeping, I’m tasting huge amounts of floral with hints of plum and pear. The base black tea has a larger leaf, completely black and twisty but the brew results fairly light. I thought it would taste more like plum as the cup cools, but it tasted fairly floral throughout. The second cup tastes almost exactly the same. This would be an even better blend if they toned down that floral a bit, since it’s called frosted floral/ sugar plum! So I think they are setting up everyone for disappointment when the name doesn’t match the tea. But I can enjoy this one if I’m not thinking of what it SHOULD be. Thanks again, TreeGal – probably a tea I’d never be able to try if you hadn’t sent it over.

Hint of sweet/plum flavor initially, but it didn’t linger. Tastes like thin black tea. Added a splash of milk per packet recommendation. Tasted like generic plain black tea with milk. Drinkable but very little flavor.
Recommends adding a dash of milk or mix with hot frothed milk for a lattea. Part of TeaRevv Advent Calendar Collection. Tasted 12.2018
Flavors: Bitter, Plum, Tea
Preparation
Advisory: best without milk. Not a fan of chamomile and/or lemongrass in teas. Didn’t like the combo of the 2 flavors, unsurprisingly. Part of TeaRevv Advent Calendar Collection.
Tasted 12.2018
Unable to list: chamomile flavor. Unable to list ingredient: gynostemma
Flavors: Lemon, Lemongrass, Licorice, Medicinal
Preparation
Pleasant chai with no overpowering spice, but also no outstanding flavors. Recommends adding a dash of milk or mix with hot frothed milk for a lattea. Added honey – the sweet notes of the tea were greatly enhanced. Improved rating from 5/10 to 8/10 from honey. Tasted 12.2018
Flavors: Cinnamon, Spices, Sweet
I also much prefer coffee flavouring in teas as opposed to actual coffee, grounds or beans. Possibly because actual coffee makes my stomach sad.
