Thursday 3/25/21 — Sipology lemon ginger teatox. Light tasting like a hint of ginger and lemon in hot water.

#2021sipdown
Drank the last drop this morning. I’d never considered drinking dandelion teas prior to getting this tea. It was a decent peppermint tea to start the day. There was enough dandelion to balance out the peppermint flavoring. I believe that Sipology no longer carries it.
Flavors: Dandelion, Peppermint

#2021steepstersipdown Mastress Alita Friday, March 5th: National Day of Unplugging – Drink your favorite tea to relax and unwind!
Friday 3/5 so I’m not sure I have a go to tea or favorite to relax/unwind because I drink all of my teas whatever mood I’m in. Also I’ve been drinking some teas that are in larger quantities but I still need to sip on smaller amounts to make me feel better about my numbers especially when I have a high goal number for March.
Anyway I can say green tea is a fave tea type but this cup was just steeped in 10 oz water and nothing to write home about. No fruity taste came from this older sample and wasn’t a tasty base either.

#tiffanys2021sipdown Tea #73 overall / Tea #40 for February
Wednesday 2/24 — So I’m on a good roll to finish February on track with sipdowns, so figured I’d get a few in this morning at home since I was working the 3-11 shift at work today. I’m not a earl grey fan or much of a black tea fan so I grabbed two different earl grey teabags and figured hey half water half milk make a latte and knock two out. So two earl grey lattes in one day. Sheesh.
This one smelled pretty strong taking it out of the sealed foil package. It was fine but nothing else to say.

#tiffanys2021sipdown Tea #38 overall / Tea #5 for February 2021
Tuesday 2/2 – Relaxing before work reached for my bag of samples, this was a single serving of loose tea. I made it hot and plain, just a black tea. Enjoying bit by bit drinking up my stash.

I’ve had this tea for a while and it recently started liking it, now that I’m cutting back on caffeine.
I am currently drinking it before bed, and its herb taste makes me feel grounded.
Flavors: Citrus, Lemongrass
Preparation
A tasty roobios tea that was gifted to me from a friend who over indulged at a tea home sale party. I love the smell of the tea leaves- definitely similar to a orange creamsicle and summer. The tea itself is very fruity and yummy to drink. While I do see the pineapple pieces in it I only taste orange and papaya with the roobios. Packaging says the leaves are good for two brews but I never find that to be true.
Flavors: Fruity, Orange
Preparation
A friend sent this to me as she was cleaning out her tea cabinet because she had too much. Clearly something I don’t understand. I had attended the same in home party she had when she purchased this and at the time, didn’t care for the smell of the mix.
On first brew, it did not taste much different than a basic black tea blend.
On second brew (as the package says it’s good for 3 steeps), it smelled stronger (but reminded me of wet dog paws) but tasted like hot water. I did let it steep longer (6 minutes) but it remained unimpressive.
Not an impressive tea.
Flavors: Fur, Pecan, Wet Wood
Preparation
Started using up the last of my Steeped stash. At best, I have found this blend to be a green tea with a faint hint of lime. I enjoyed it more as an iced tea than in my mug. This is my final tasting of the tea (as I just finished the bag) and it is unlikely that I would pursue ordering it again.
Preparation
Received this tea from a friend who wasn’t interested in it. I wasn’t particularly either, so it sat in a bin for a while until I unearthed it the other day and made a pitcher of iced tea! With a touch of sweetener, it’s actually pretty nice – but nothing I’d purchase myself. Basically a standard sort of hibiscus-heavy fruit tea flavour, with a bit of an extra lemon kick.
Sipdown! 160/365!
I actually made two jugs of this, but am too lazy to log it twice. This tea wasn’t bad, actually – a fairly typical hibiscus fruit tea with a bit of orange – but the one difference was the use of banana, which gave it a bit of a different flavour. Can’t really say it tasted much like cherries in particular. Sweetened, it actually was one of the better iced teas I’ve made lately, but probably not worth buying. (This was an offload from a friend, the same friend with whom I’ve recently been drinking tea, as it happens, though this was from a few years back.)
I had this one this morning and I quite enjoy it. I find I love a very simple black tea first thing in the morning. Usually a straight black tea or something with a hint of fruit or even mint. This one definitely works that way.
So the cherry flavour is actually quite strong in this one but it’s not so much that I’m turned off of it. It’s a nice simple black tea with enough flavour that it doesn’t get lost even with some milk or sugar.
I really love this one and I know what is left of it won’t last much longer! Yum Yum!
Another TTB sample!
I don’t like the bergamot flavour in this, and the base is nothing special. I’m not getting anything thick or malty from the base, which I expect from a good EG. The bergamot tasty sort of…minerally? or musty? It doesn’t taste natural or citrus-like. The cream flavour was lacking, even though I added vanilla soy milk to the cup. It wasn’t a bad cup, but I did not feel it offered anything more than cheaper cream of EGs do.
Flavors: Bergamot, Mineral, Musty
Our favourite caffeine-free iced tea for the whole family! I make this with a little bit of stevia or a spoonful of honey for the whole pot, which really brings out the sweet fruit flavours. My 5 year old loves it as much as I do, and it’s a beautiful summery red colour.
Flavors: Fruity
Preparation
I’ve seen some good reviews for this tea so I had my hopes up but honestly I am not enjoying this tea at all. Maybe I just added the wrong amount of ingredients in my cup but the taste I am getting is not buttery or any hint of maple syrup. Maybe a bit citrusy with a weird tropical splash of coconut.
Steeped Tea is that company that kept popping up and every time I checked the site it gave me the option to shop with a consultant. I like to shop on my own so I always close the site. However, thanks to a TTB I was able to try this out. Turns out it was a little too much earl grey and not enough creme. Definitely not an EG for me, which is probably for the best because that means I can continue to avoid consultants.
