Strong earthy aroma. And besides it? I don’t know whether I smell a very, very subtle jasmine note, or am I just imagining it, knowing that it allegedly should be present…
The taste is quite bland, very mellow, rather dusty, again with only subtle or none jasmine.
After drinking this so called tea for a while I can state, that the jasmine is present after all, but it’s barely noticeable. Creating such crap is an achievement in itself even for Pickwick.
Flavors: Dust, Earth, Jasmine
Preparation
Passion fruit, mango and pineapple are evident in aroma. Banana – very subtle, I probably wouldn’t sense it if not the ingredient list. Slight earthy notes from the base tea in the background.
Passion fruit dominates the taste, with banana a little behind and other fruits and base tea notes in the back.
All in all it’s not bad, really fruity.
Flavors: Earth, Mango, Passion Fruit, Pineapple
Preparation
Good balance between malty character of the base tea and fresh notes of lemon peels in aroma.
In taste the peel notes are dominant, the base tea is in the background.
Nice, refreshing, with strong essential oils.
Flavors: Lemon, Lemon Zest, Malt
Preparation
Very strong and very fruity aroma, with evident notes of blackberry, raspberry and strawberry.
The taste is not that rich. There are fruity notes, of course, no sweetness at all, very subtle sourness and some maltiness in background, but the overall impression is very far from overwhelming.
Flavors: Blackberry, Malt, Raspberry, Strawberry
Preparation
Nice deep colour.
Strong malty flavour.
The taste is quite characterful for a Pickwick, rich but at the same rounded, with only slight astringency.
Nothing special, but for a Pickwick it’s quite extraordinary. :)
Flavors: Malt, Round
Preparation
Boring, bland aroma with bergamot on the sensory threshold.
Generic corporate black tea as the base, with subtle malty notes and again, barely discernible traces of bergamot.
All in all it’s a just a corporate vision of Earl Grey.
Flavors: Malt
Preparation
Very strong but rather artificial strawberry aroma, like in sweets.
Nice, maltish base, subtle strawberry notes (in taste they seem more natural).
The overall impression is not bad, especially for a Pickwick.
Flavors: Malt, Strawberry
Preparation
I received a box of this as a gift and fell in love with it. I don’t use sweetener anymore, but this tea doesn’t need it. When I taste it, I immediately think of apple cider, but it doesn’t have apples in it; it’s orange. I think I taste apple cider because the same kinds of spices are used in it.
Every person I’ve let try this has loved it. I ordered several more boxes for myself when I managed to find it online.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Orange, Red Apple, Spices
Preparation
Smells just like a baked apple with cinnamon and a touch of vanilla. Fantastic!
In taste it’s too bland, the apple and spicy notes are too subtle, too much in the background.
Adding a bit of sugar helps focus the taste a little, but I remain disappointed.
Flavors: Apple, Cinnamon, Vanilla
Preparation
Cinnamon is the most evident, there’s also nice spiciness from pepper and ginger, as well as subtle anise and clove notes.
The problem is, there’s not enough tea in it, so it tastes much better when brewed along with an additional bag of black tea
And even better when made more “chai” style – with a solid splash of milk and some sugar.
Flavors: Anise, Cinnamon, Clove, Ginger, Pepper
Preparation
Interesting. I’m getting a bit of coconut scent off of this tea. Very pleasant (for me, anyway), but unexpected.
Letting it steep while I work out…
A heavy taste of coconut in the first sip, before I get hit with the apple pie. This really is reminiscent of apple pie, complete with spices (good flavor for tea, a little weak for real apple pie – might have gone the full flavor if I’d added sugar, but I don’t think that’s necessary). It’s sweet and makes me happy.
As I keep drinking this, I’m getting more of the coconut and black tea flavor, and a lot less apple pie. It comes out in hints, but it’s a lot weaker than it was in the first sips. I still like it, but it’ not what I was expecting, not what I was promised in the title and first sips. I’d rate it higher if I was looking for a coconut black tea rather than apple pie.
I’d drink it again, if Ihad it, but I don’t think I’ll be searching it out.
Flavors: Apple, Coconut, Spices, Sugar, Tea
Preparation
not too terribly bad of a tea but kind of weird tasting. reminds me of the purpleish wine gums by Maynard.. will not be doing a full review, nor drinking black currant tea again any time soon
Flavors: Bitter, Black Currant, Sweet

I used to enjoy this tea every Sunday when I lived in Amsterdam – it brightened even the gloomiest of days. The orange flavors are strong and they don’t taste fake or artificial. Yummy.
