@BrookeM – I feel similar to you, perhaps, about Darjeeling teas. They tend to have kind of sharp, rough edges, and make me pucker up, which I don’t like. It’s that — the astringency — that I dislike generally. And most bitterness.

I don’t love this blend. It alchemically misses. Like a play that has really good actors but is just not enjoyable.

Is this made with that Rooibos stuff? A blend isn’t Rooibos and black tea maybe? Haven’t tried that one. Bit leery.

mmm sipdown! This is off to share with tea friends so yay for that! I’ve enjoyed this one, considering it’s a little random tea from my parents. Not much else to say about this one – was a decent afternoon cup while getting some work done.

I had another go at this today and this is not my favourite tea. I much preferred the Yunnan from MF that my parents picked up for me. Not that this is a bad tea, but i prefer others over it. Luckily i have tea friends with which to share this one!

After more than 30 minutes in the Mariage Frères shop I finally bought 50g of this tea and I am wondering why you didn’t rate it …is it really good ?

Oh haha I probably was just reviewing it on my iPad….those sliders are awful to click on. The next time I drink it ill rate it for sure! Haha I like this one quite a bit :)

Great, I’ll try it tomorrow morning so …I have fear to have made a mistake…the salesman ensured me this assam was not bitter…I harassed him…are you SURE but 100% sure ? he said yes…so verdict on tomorrow morning !
