This is my go to tea at night. I enjoy the valerian root in it and the chamomile flavor is great! I usually steep two bags for a stronger effect so I can have a good nights rest….

I love the smell of this tea….but it’s actually not the greatest taste! Kinda weird. I’m glad it’s sweet enough on its own though! I dunno! I put two bags in my mug and it was pretty weak. Meh! Not bad, not amazing!

The combination of green tea, lemon, and ginseng makes this tea a new chilly weather favorite. The flavors are a nice balance of earthy, tart, and sweet. With my second cup, I added some fresh lemon. Delicious! Celestial Seasonings has a special place in my heart: I loved the boxes when I was a little kid; the illustrations are so magical. I remember drinking Red Zinger and adding lots of honey to it. It’s always nice to discover a new blend of CS tea, and toss it into my grocery cart, and try it out. I’m glad I tried Honey Lemon Ginseng.

Ashmanra’s sipdown challenge – September 2023 Tea #3- Your oldest non-puerh tea

This one is actually tasting its age at this point.  But as the oldest tea around here, I wouldn’t expect it not to taste old.  It still has a glimmer of that lovely flavor that makes this the second or third favorite CS tea.  Next time, a sipdown.

I decided to have this one tonight because I had some sugar cookies to go along with it! I haven’t reviewed this one yet either, though I’ve steeped this many a time. It’s one of my favorite CS teas. Really, this tea should probably be called ‘butter cookie’. It has a delicious buttery flavor, as well as a buttery lemon yellow color to the steep. I’m surprised they aren’t drowning this one in ridiculous amounts of stevia like they have with their unbearable pumpkin blend if they are calling it ‘sugar cookie’. I’m not exactly sure how this is so sweet if they don’t put much or any stevia in it. But it’s good! The name is surely accurate!

I should give this a try. I need to stop trying to be a tea snob and appreciate that bagged tea can be good too. :p

gmathis

Reaally liking this one, too. The CS pumpkin is bearable if you throw in some plain black to cut that wickedly sweet stevia.

tea-sipper

gmathis – yeah, I thought about trying to mix a black tea with it.. but I wouldn’t want it to ruin the black tea! I’ll try it sometime though.

Cavocorax – Tea bags can be just as delicious sometimes! :D

I really like CS’s Gingerbread Spice for evening decaf lattes! I just don’t really spend much time in the tea aisle at grocery stores now so I miss out on some of these!

MsWhatsit

I love this stuff too. Just found out I can order it year round off their website. Happy panda is happy.

I purchased this to make iced tea over the summer, as a friend is allergic to raspberries and I really like some of the other Celestial Seasonings fruit teas. I’m just finishing the last bag hot, and although the tea does taste and smell of blueberries, the flavour seems somewhat flat. I tried it with and without sweetener, both hot and cold. While honey improves the flavour, I think I need a lot more honey in it to make it tasty. I will be sticking with other raspberry-free teas during the summer, and won’t be repurchasing this one.

(With these teas, I like to keep the tea bag in the water until I’ve finished the tea. I started sipping about 4 minutes in, and although the other flavours and tartness are starting to come out I’m still not loving it.)

I have felt just off today so I needed something to pick me up and make me feel special. I put four tea bags in my little tea pot and it smells SO good. Like fresh baked sugar cookies. The flavor is pretty strong. Which is ok with me. Ohh I enjoyed this cup :]

This tea has always caught my eye so I was happy when I saw it at the store :] Well I decided I’d give it a go and now I’m on my second cup! It has a wonderful baked taste to it. It almost tastes like cookie dough and the aroma is amazing. The flavor could be a bit stronger, but maybe I will just try two tea bags. I will have to stock up on this!

Well, I went out and bought all of celestial seasonings holiday teas, because I’m a sucker for the cute packaging and anything holiday themed! I liked this one, very pepper minty and candy cane-ish! I love all mint teas (usually) so I figured I couldn’t go wrong with trying this one out first. I liked it, it was nice! That’s really all I can say!

I don’t love the smell of this tea, but it was just what I needed before I went to sleep last night!

5 minute steep time, 75 – 85% of the cup w/ hot water. Added soy milk to fill the cup the rest of the way up after removing the tea bag. Very creamy, not too sweet. Good level of spice flavor – if you’re looking for a very strong spice, this is not for you. But if you’re looking for a creamy drink that has a light, almost pumpkin-spice (w/o the pumpkin) flavor, it is good.

Loved the warm, pepperminty aroma that immediately hit me. It is very pleasant and cleared my sinuses as a bonus. The tea taste great as it is, but I then tried to recreate a chocolate mint tea that I had recently by adding a splash of chocolate creamer and YUM! I hope it’s not too early to be this decadent…

YAY!! You’re on Steepster.

This is my go-to breakfast tea. I’ve always got a box or two in my cupboard. I now live in the Midwest, and on winter mornings below 20F, when I have to be in the car before 6am (and stay in it for >1 hour commute), this tea is what gets me going—sans jitters.

There’s also something I love about the artwork on the Celestial Seasonings box. I feel sucked into it every time I look at it, and can almost feel the brisk morning air that the bison is snorting back out of his nostrils. I love the gorgeous sunrise, and the feeling I get that there’s a big, grand day ahead.

For those of you who drink your tea black, I think you’ll enjoy this one black. The roasted mate gives it a nice flavor on top of the black. For me though, a bit of milk and sugar makes this tea a treat and makes “everything” (the wee hour, the ice, the long drive, my carpooler) better… :)

One of my favorite bagged teas. I discovered this when I took off on a train from Nebraska to Arizona and stayed at a friend’s house on arrival. He happened to have this in the cabinet and offered me some. I was pretty hooked on this sweet concoction. Especially it being the only tea I’d had in quite a while after selling my loose leaf tea collection. But here a year later it still has a home next to my loose leaf teas.

Bags smell of mostly licorice. Once submerged in hot water the aromas unfold. First nutty vanilla, followed closely by honey, citrus, and lastly the base note of chamomile.

I take a sip and am surprised by how naturally sweet this is. All of the different scents have morphed into a candy like drink with a light aftertaste of bubblegum. But once a bit of sugar is added it transforms into orange blossom honey water. I love orange blossom honey. This is nice for a bagged tea! A splash of milk and it tastes like warm milk & honey minus quite a bit of the sweetness. I don’t like to leave the bag in for an excessive amount of time like some have said because I start to taste a bitterness and the chamomile starts to show itself in an unpleasant way. I enjoy this tea when I’m waking up, about to go to bed, or during peaceful moments of the day.

very good mixture of spice and pumpkin flavor. However, after the first cup I could distinctly start tasking the overly sweet element to it. Once I started noticing that, it started tasting kind of weird to me. Going to give this one a break for a few days before coming back to it, see if the odd quality lasts or not. Hopefully it’s just me drinking too much! Always a fan of pumpkin and pumpkin spice things.

This is much better! I wish I’d dumped out my licorice tea hours ago. :P

I haven’t bought bagged tea in months, but I was tempted by this because I wanted holiday tea and I had nothing gingerbread-ish.

I couldn’t tell you how it is on its own, but I can tell you that it tastes great with frothy cream and brown sugar. I don’t think I’ll bother making it any other way! I like that I can have a decaf dessert tea for late night cravings.

A 20 bag box should last me months, and I’ll probably buy this again. So, guess I’m not 100% loose leafed.

Kasumi no Chajin

I’m not usually one for desert teas, and starting to cull much many of my teabags, but one of my weaknesses is Candy Cane Lane in this line of Holiday teas.

Ozli

Sounds good!!

TeaLady441

Mmmmm. If i didn’t already have a few peppermint teas, I’d be tempted to try the Candy Cane Lane one!

Kasumi no Chajin

well CS has had it for a few years now, there is always next season. I would also be willing to send you a sample. I personally found more vanilla notes then minty in it, and it did not remind me much of my peppermint ones in any major way.
