1598 Tasting Notes
So I totally made this one by mistake! I meant to make Justea’s Chai and didn’t clue in that something was off, even after wondering why it was just black tea and no spices… :P
This is still good though.
And that’s a sipdown for this one! (164)
I oversteeped it so the base is a bit more pronounced, and the banana is more liquorish than I would like, but it is still a nice cup. I haven’t ruined it!

I was trying to think of something to summarize how I was there for that (yay me) and how I was laughing currently remembering it, but struggled so I’m just gonna plop this ‘Lol’ here to suffice ;)

And Yvonne, not only is it banana, it’s creamy coconut banana! I almost ordered some when Frank had 15% off, but it’s sold out.

I have a thing about banana so when I saw Frank reblended it around BF I picked up a pouch. I think it is almost half gone and I actually haven’t even had a cup yet (though I have tried the tea and I know it is pretty delicious). Everyone keeps asking to try it and I am just happy to share given I have so much :). I am glad you liked it.

Haha it is okay. Better to share it than let it all sit and go bad. Plus it is always nice when you can help someone try something that they may not try otherwise. Frank’s blends are so hard to find so I always try to accommodate when someone wants to taste one.
And, it is not like others haven’t done the same for me so it is always nice to give back.
You are just beyond nice, VariaTEA. :) The world needs more people like you.
My pouch of Butterscotch Banana is nearly gone, which makes me really sad. I have about a mug worth of this and Napalm Ferret left as well. Soon I’ll be out of amazing 52Teas Banana teas :(
This is the re-steeped cup, but I’m putting this in a new note because I am bummed out. I was reading on my Kindle, I grabbed it and went to the other room, and then I noticed my screen was cracked. :(
I can still read with it. And the light still works. But it’s obvious and annoying and when I just got it in July I expect it to still be in good shape longer.
So, I’m drinking this cup and wishing it was the morning so I could call Amazon to get my new Kindle on the way. I’m fairly certain this is covered under warranty because I didn’t drop it or anything.
At least this cup is great. :D

Bah. No luck. They figure I twisted it or put pressure on it or something. Maybe I did. IDK. But it’s not covered under warranty and a replacement is $80. It’s not THAT damaged that I’d pay that.
The cracks are only on the right side of the screen, and aren’t terribly noticeable when the light is dimmed as much as possible. I guess I’ll keep using it until it dies, and then replace it in September if they release a new one? (I’ll have birthday money in Jul y I can set aside for it.)

Okay! Here’s the moment VariaTEA has been waiting for!!!
(maybe not THE moment, but A moment at least)
This tea tastes mostly bright and green, with caramel notes lingering long after each sip. Like minutes after. I had a few sips and then got distracted by some Netflix comedian for a few minutes and could still taste the caramel and vanilla.
This is also slightly nutty and toasty. There’s just so much going on in each sip.
Ok, VariaTEA. OK. You were right.
This is going immediately onto my shopping list.

Oh, this is also much better than Harney & Son’s Tokyo blend. I had that in my head as a similar one, but it’s really not.
I know what you mean. As it cooled, it reminded me more of Tokyo, but with that awesome creaminess it has. Omg I must have more ASAP. I hid the rest of my sample away in my drawer in hopes that I’ll forget it haha.

HAHAHAHA. This was THE moment I was waiting for (anytime anyone tries this tea it is THE moment!). I am sooooooooo insanely happy that this is getting as much love as it deserves. I swear it must seem like I get a kick back when it comes to this tea because I push it so hard but it is THAT good and needs to be tried.

Yay! It’s the end of the week. And I’m nearly over my cold too! :O
But I’m worn out. I fell asleep on my bus for a few minutes and was jarred awake after we passed the 401 and I had a brief moment of panic because OMG, I don’t know where I am, and Toronto is a big city you guys… But it worked out just fine.
I need some coffee though. And tea! So, how about coffee/tea? I just got this one today and I was dying to have some anyway.
I was a little concerned I might not like this one as much as I was a little disappointed with the base in some of Herbal Infusions’ black blends (and if they use the same one for all of them, then the flavouring really makes a huge difference!) Either way, this one was better than I remembered. It’s sweet, and nutty with enough coffee flavour to give it a wake-me-up kick, without being too much. I can’t drink coffee w/o milk and sugar, but this tea is quite nice plain!
I’m pretty happy I snagged 50g. And once it shipped it got to Scarborough in one day! Not bad. They still need to get a little quicker getting the packages out the door, but this is an improvement. I would buy from them again.
Also, the ingredients WERE listed on the bags of all the teas I purchased for those who are worried about allergies etc.

It is really wonderful, especially if you like coffee! The nice thing about the company is that shipping is only $5. Not too bad!

This is amazing! Thank you so much OMGSrsly for sending me a little bit of this! I think this is possibly THE BEST coconut oolong tea I’ve ever had the pleasure to drink.
It’s creamy, almost buttery, with lots of coconut notes on a backdrop of fresh oolong.

I ordered during the heavenly sale – grabbed some mint cacao, two different white teas that were $2 each, and the 12 Days of Christmas Sampler. A lot of it is backordered though, and there’s no record on the site of the 12 Day sampler. :( I emailed them with my receipt to ask what’s up because I want it. I thought it’d be a super cheap way to try a bunch of Teavana teas! (It was $17?)
I’m really disappointed by the lack of communication though. Also, when I filed a ticket for support, they reply was covered in ads. Not classy.
