This tea was purchased at the Lupicia store yesterday. I think Lupicia needs to work on their marketing a bit because this is how they describe it:
“Full-bodied, yet smooth taste with light astringency. A standard Assam tea.”
Hmm, Standard Assam tea doesn’t exactly get you enthusiastic about the product, does it? I happen to like assam teas and I drink them all the time in the morning, so I thought I would pick this up. I usually drink these with milk and that’s what I’ve done here. It is a good assam, though pretty average. It has a nice smoothness, malty flavor as well as some fruitiness too.
I’ve been wondering if I should switch to organic tea, and now this report is out by Greenpeace India that tea contains traces of pesticides including DDT. Definitely food for though but I can’t afford to buy everything organic. :(

Every once in a while these pesticide issues pop up online and it always makes me look at my tea sideways. But yeah, organic can be so expensive.
Right? It’s not like I’m about to start buying all organic food all of the time either.
