72 Tasting Notes
This is the greatest tea ever. The roasty flavour of the rice is so very comforting and delicious. I just pop (hehe) a few tablespoons (yes, tablespoons) into the bottom of my mug, pour steaming hot water on top, let the leaves sink to the bottom and drink away. This way, the rice stays on the top and you can have a little snack while you drink your favourite tea! :-)
Preparation
Before I write my note, I’ll admit: I’ve yet to try this iced, I probably steeped it for too long, and I drank it straight.
That being said, as much as I wanted to like this tea, I just couldn’t. It’s not sure what it wants to be. It asks me, Am I coffee? Am I pu-erh? I’ll just be a strange mix of both! I’ll have to try this again and see where it takes me.
Preparation
Having tried most of DavidsTeas already, and making a noble effort to try a new one everyday, AND feeling a bit under the weather, this was today’s new tea to try. I hate the smell of the leaves, and considered it utterly un-drinkable for months. But I’m proud to say that I’ve finally taken the leap and tried this tea. And I quite like it. I can’t taste anything but the ginger, but its sharp bite is great. It feels a little bit scratchy on my throat, but it is probably just because I generally don’t drink such ginger-y beverages on a normal basis. I truly can’t taste the green tea, and I can’t taste any lemon or licorice. But, I’ve been steeping it for about an hour and a half now (which might be my problem), and it still isn’t bitter, which I’ve never seen in a green tea. It’s not my favourite and I wouldn’t drink it everyday, but it’s definitely a great go-to when you’re not feeling your best.
Preparation
My new favourite. This tea is phenomenally cinnamon-y, so much so that the rooibos is practically non-existent. If I couldn’t see it in the loose leaf, I wouldn’t know it was there. Which is good, because I’m not much of a rooibos fan :) I’m THERE.
**Just as an added note: This tea must be made with boiling water for the cinnamon to be prominent: If made with 80 degree water, the rooibos REALLY comes out!
Preparation
I love the bitterness to this tea. It doesn’t make me sleepy, but it actually aids my digestion issues. Whenever I’m not in the mood for bitter, I mix it with The Immunizer for a deliciously herbal cure-all. The cinnamon in The Immunizer sweetens it just enough to make this tea perfect!
Preparation
I was definitely expecting more lavender flavour in this mix. The fruitiness is delightfully pleasant, but it won’t be my go-to caffeine free tea. Good for a rooibos, quite sweet but I’m not getting the floral notes I wanted. And it doesn’t make me feel like I’m in France, which is what the girl at the store told me would happen.
