I’ve had a steadily building headache all day, and saw the migraine thread in the discussion. So I decided to bust out my most minty tea..which is this one. I haven’t had this since January when the boyfriend and I were ridiculously sick haha. This is not a bad tea, minty with a sweet edge to it as well, but it still is a tea I will keep reserved for when sick. However, if it helps my headache, it might be used for that too! Also, this reminds me that I need to pick up some straight peppermint tea or spearmint at some point. See previous notes on this tea!

Bleeeeehhhhhh this is disgusting! Even with a cold it’s really gross-tasting. I figured I may as well try it now though… perhaps it can help!?

Pretty much all I can taste is mint. And I got gross sediment in my sip because I didn’t use a Finum infuser (sooooo glad five(?) more will be in my possession as of his weekend).

Ewwwwww this is so gross. So so so so gross. I hate peppermint.

I am currently forcing myself to drink this vile concoction simply in the hopes that it will mysteriously help me feel better… or something…. I’ll be hard-pressed to re-steep this one though.

Ugh. Finished. Gag.

Anyhow, sipdown! and thanks to Raritea for this one! (And don’t worry, I took some knowing full well I’d hate it. But I was just so darn curious anyways!)

Thanks guys! My sore throat is gone knocks on wood and I’m just left a bit stuffed up, so it seems like this cold wasn’t as bad as I thought. I’m a baby about sore throats though… sigh. Hopefully I am getting better! Gotta be healthy for this weekend!

Thank you Raritea for this one. Again, not sure that my taste buds are back to normal but today, this is a decent cup of tea :)I’ve had a few steeps of this this afternoon and so far it seems to be doing the trick. The mint is nice :)

Thanks to Raritea for sampling some out!!
This is nice and light. I didn’t steep long, and didn’t get much mint. It was more of a citrus herbal drink. Definitely lemongrass in there! I could have sworn there was some licorice or perhaps anise, not too much though.
Overall, I quite enjoyed my cup. Something I’d consider picking up more of.

So, this isn’t something I’d just reach for but it’s pretty inoffensive for an herbal remedy tea. I appreciate DT keeping the cold teas somewhat more interesting than most. I was in store today and should have grabbed some Cold 911, because the boyfriend woke up sick today and now tonight, in the middle of a paper due tomorrow, I’m feeling it! Oh no. I’m glad I have this on hand. With some added chunks of fresh ginger and steeped for eight minutes, it’s a pretty noxious brew but in a way that feels healthy and not unpleasant. It helps me feel a little less fuzzy and out-of-focus. Mostly mint and lemongrass flavours.

I’ve got to get myself off Steepster when I have impending schoolwork doom. I tell myself I’m not allowed on Facebook but just wind up checking Steepster non-stop!

Indigobloom

I hope you’re feeling better now! :)

Kay Kanada

I hope the paper went well, and that you didn’t steepster/FB your way into the wee hours!

nomadinjeopardy

Thank you both. Kay: you know I did!

Sick again so having some of this. I had the beau add extra mint – all I can taste is berry with a mint background. None of the lemongrass I had last time. Hopefully it helps!

This is one I tend to reach for when I’m just craving something light and refreshing. I love this one….we need to restock! It always makes me feel better.

AliPants

mmmm warm and smooth. I only steeped it for about 5 minutes though, I didn’t read the directions on the bag. Next time I’ll leave it in for longer but this is smooth and minty and makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside <3

Getting primarily the minty spearmint flavour. The taste of the spices trail at the end of the sip. I feel that this tisane should be less complex. I am, once again, getting confirmation that I am sensitive to the after-taste of the lemon grass. I am not detecting any floral or citrus flavours in this blend.

Tried this in store today. Usually I’m a little wary of cinnamon in my tea, but it worked well with the other flavours. More peppy than a cold remedy usually is (maybe because I unintentionally steeped it for almost twenty minutes, oops?), very enjoyable and gave me a boost for the rest of the day. Want to try another cup of it before I decide whether or not to add it to the roster.
