52 Tasting Notes
BITTER! I finished the cup. I’m not sure how but I did. Now, where’s my medal? This was terrible straight so I added some milk. The milk made it slightly more palatable but it was still dump worthy. Now, on to find something drinkable!
Preparation
As others have mentioned, the bag is discolored, even before steeping. It smells so strongly spicy. I wasn’t going to put anything in it but after smelling it, I think I will add some milk and sugar. Well, after adding those it didn’t taste like much of anything.
Preparation
A breakfast tea to attempt to get me up and going this morning! We had an ice storm last night and I did not want to leave my cozy bed to go out in the yucky-ness. Unfortunately, I had to so here I am with a cup of tea in one hand and keyboard keys at the other. This is really very good. No astringency or bitterness in the base and a nice color. This could really lend itself to pretty much anything but then, I suppose that it the point of breakfast teas. This has done its job so I guess I ought to go do mine!
Preparation
So I lost the tasting note I had typed up for this. This was my first white tea and I found it very interesting. First off, the leaves are huge! I guess because they’ere whole leaves? It smelled overwhelmingly floral and brewed up very dark compared to what I thought a white was supposed to be. As it cooled down, I tasted some slight florality but not as much as I thought I’d get and just the slightest hint of pear. I mainly got the pear in the aftertaste. A very interesting cup. I’m not really sure if I like it or not.

This was very thin and had next to no taste. It was like drinking warm water with an aftertaste of caramel and a hint of Red Apple Jelly Belly (the jelly beans) which are totally my favorite flavor so I really could have done with way more than that. Pretty disappointing considering it smelled like cinnamon and the other delicious things I mentioned.

My first Harney & Sons! Big hopes because it smells delightful! It makes a reddish brown cloudy brew with a slight oil film on top. The apricot flavor isn’t very strong but the base is nice so I don’t really mind. Pretty enjoyable cup.
EDIT: I really need to quit judging teas before they’ve appropriately cooled so that I may get a better feel for their flavors. The apricot comes through more than I thought and that black base is probably the nicest flavored I’ve had yet. I’m very pleased with H&S. Can’t wait to try some more!

I woke up to about 6 inches of snow this morning! Roads were terrible as the city is out of salt and apparently couldn’t be bothered to plow as it “just came down too fast.” Fellas, we’ve known this was coming. It started snowing around 3 pm yesterday and it came down too fast? Anyway, I got to work okay and settled in with a cup of this, the quickest thing I could grab as I was falling out the door. It made for a quick cup which is good because I have a busy day ahead of me. It smells strongly of a spicy cinnamon with a strong black base. I put two sugar packets in it and honestly, I can’t even tell they’re there. I’m wondering jokingly if they missed my cup. But it’s not too bad. Goes well with my cinnamon and chocolate chip muffins leftover from yesterday’s breakfast!
Flavors: Cinnamon

I opened the bag and it took me a minute to place that delicious, almost overpowering strawberry smell. Fruit snacks!!! Totally smells like fruit snacks and I’m digging it. Another pink liquor. I’m assuming it’s from the hibiscus. Are they just putting it in everything? Seems like all I looked at today had hibiscus in it. Anyway, it tastes like hot strawberry Kool-aid. With kind of a plastic-y taste? I dunno. I’ve been pretty disappointed with everything I’ve tried tonight. Maybe being sick has thrown everything off… Will try again later.
Preparation
From the smell of the dry leaf, I was expecting a whole lot more than what was delivered. All I got was baking cinnamon. No oatmeal, no raisin. Just an ok cup of tea. Didn’t bother trying to resteep.
