I forgot how tasty this blend is. The almond and cranberry pair together so well, and the base tea H&S chose is a good one. I only had enough leaf for half of a cup, but it was a vey tasty few sips!

This tea will definitely be in my cupboard once autumn rolls around.

Rosehips

This is one of my autumn faves!

This is my favourite Harney blend, with Soba Cha a close second :P

I haven’t tried Soba Cha yet, but it does sound good. I missed the chance to try Korean Barley Tea when it was in a ttb I participate in a few months ago. I’m still kicking myself.

Cheri

Soba Cha is on my wishlist. I really want to try that one. It just sounds sooo amazing. (I have to admit, this one sounds really good, too.)

Another happy tea. Today this tea is much fruitier than what I remember from previous cups. The flavor is light and edging on sweet. At the end of the sip there is the buttery brothiness that I recall. Such a delicious cup.

drank Earl Grey Cream by Zen Tea

Tea of the morning. As odd as it sounds, I’m glad it’s Monday. I’m sooo glad last week is over, and I’m glad I have this tea in my cup. I’m thinking I might spend today drinking a bunch of my favorite teas just to kick the week off on a positive, happy note.

This tea is, as always, amazing. So well blended with the vanilla combining beautifully with the bergamot. And though I’ve said it in dozens of tea notes I think it’s worth repeating that the base tea is stellar. Zen Tea did a great job with the EGC.

In other happy news, I’m getting ready to watch a lady I sang with years ago defend her dissertation and hopefully receive her DMus. Her school is streaming the defense live, so it will be awesome to watch her defend her amazing work.

Good luck to your friend :-)

And this EGC rocks!!

Veronica

She was awesome! I’m so excited for her. :)

I love giving this tea to friends who think they only like Twinnings EG. It never fails to amaze.

This came from the Butiki Educational Traveling Tea Box, but since it is labeled as a Whispering Pines tea I thought I’d put it here rather than under Random Steepings.

There is a strong cedar smell to the dry leaves. The leaves are semi-long and wiry, tightly wound and, of course, golden and black in color. Once steeped the cedar smell diminishes quite a bit. The infusion taste of forest floor with notes of cedar. As the tea cools there is a honey like note at the end of the sip.

I really enjoyed this tea. It’s not my favorite, but it is a good consistent Yunnan.

Boiling 3 min, 0 sec 1 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

Herbal of the evening. I used my last bit of this tonight. It was so good. Lots of lemon flavor with a bit of creaminess. This one will be reordered at some point. I’ll probably pick it up when the vanilla mint tea is available again. Hopefully it’ll still be one of the holiday teas!

Preparation
Boiling 4 min, 30 sec 1 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

So, I had this tonight and sipped it down too…

This lovely tea came to me by way of kimquat. Thank you!

When I say this tea is lovely I mean it. The blend of jasmine and mint with a great green tea base is so soothing. This is the type of tea I’d want in my cup after meditating or at the end of a long stressful day when I just need to relax. It’s also perfect for a Sunday afternoon while watching baseball. :)

I already have this tea on my wishlist, and it’s going to stay there because I need more of this. A lot more.

Cheri

Sounds delicious.

Veronica

It is! The tea is slightly more jasmine than mint, and the blend is great. Plus, it resteeps very well. I got four steeps out of it before I felt that the leaves were spent.

drank Green Passion Tea by Cameron's

As far as passion fruit teas go, this is a good one. The green tea base is highly present with a grassy, clean, sweet flavor. The fruit, however, is the highlight. It’s sweet and juicy without tasting fake. I still want to try this iced. Given how much I like it hot I’m thinking it’d be amazing as a cold tea.

drank Tropical Coconut by Rishi Tea
1118 tasting notes

So my computer died as I was typing my note for this tea. Not good. I got it up and running again, but I think I’ll be computer shopping before too long.

Anyway, this tea is full of amazing coconut yumminess. The coconut combined with the buttery flavor of the oolong and the sweetness of the pineapple, I loved each and every sip. This is sure to be a summer favorite, and I’m already looking forward to a resteep. I can’t wait for my daughter to get home from school. This tea is right up her ally.

Preparation
180 °F / 82 °C 3 min, 0 sec 3 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

I am a fan of Nepali teas, and I’m definitely a fan of this one. There is a nice muscatel smell, but the taste is woody with a hint of astringency. As the tea cools there is a light citrus note that pairs well with the wood notes. Really nice.

Since I started lowering the temperature of my water for my Darjeelings I decided to do the same thing for this tea just as an experiment. The water I used was around 200 degrees, and I have to say I’m pleased with the results.

This is another tea I’ll be picking up from Upton. Many thanks to Dinosara for bringing it to my attention!
