345 Tasting Notes

Glad I got a chance to try this because I’m always hearing great things about Laoshan Black blends. I was a little hesitant because of the rose but it was not too rosy. The bergamot was more in the front and very nice. I don’t think it would be one I order because I’m normally not in the mood to drink roses. I kept enough to try a small cup iced and it is lovely and I didn’t notice any rose this time just the crisp and bready. Someday I will place an order, I don’t feel I’ve matured enough on my tea journey to take the time and appreciate Verdant teas enough to merit an order.
The only reason I can write these reviews right now is because I already had them pulled up to review before Steepster started acting up and it is helping me be busy as I wait for the AC guy.
Before today I had not been enjoying this as much as I would have liked. It reminds me of strawberry/cherry chapstick. Today it is wonderfully uplifting iced in this hot humid weather with a wonky AC. I added a little sugar today hoping it would be more pleasant. So perfect I’m about to make another glass and sadly it will be gone.
This was refreshing iced last night when my AC was not working correctly. It even tickled my nose on the first sniff like real rootbeer sometimes does. I do prefer it hot most of the time. It has a light creamy root beery taste. I love that it is caffeine free with honeybush. When I first ordered it I was hoping my son would like it so we could share it until I realized it would not happen, he is a root beer snob and nothing will be as good as the ones he gets on special occasions.
Of course because I already placed my order I wish I got more, it was hard deciding. I was positive I knew what I was getting and I some how managed to spend 4hrs hours changing it multiple times and missed my chance for sleep.
Fluffy Buttercream Icing…… without hurting my teeth :) I think I will listen and try it with a sprinkle of sugar when my order comes in.

Reminds me of sweet strawberries and cream found in strawberry shortcake. This is one of my favorite Lupicia teas and I would like to get it again next summer. I don’t see it as one I would drink in the cooler months because I like it iced.
Thank you keychange for splitting this with me on our order we did months ago. I don’t think I would have tried it if you did not suggest it.
I like this one best cold brewed. I feel it has been so long since I had a good earl grey I have forgotten what bergamot taste like so I’m not sure if I notice any or not. I did not think it tasted like cheesecake until I had a slice from The Cheesecake Factory and it reminded of this tea so I guess somehow it does taste like cheesecake even though it reminds me of sweet flowers.
Sorry for all the notes lately I’m playing a game to allow myself to make a tea order this Sunday and another 5 days later. I would explain the rules but I keep changing them.
