At first, I thought that Lakumelli is a Finnish kind of sweets that I haven’t tried. Then, after some Google research it seems it is somehow true, but also it seems it is play with Finnish words for licorice and toffee (butterscotch)… so honestly I do not know where the truth is.
But, when I was choosing a tea for this afternoon, I have decided for this one. To be honest, I prepared myself Dhara Green by Siam Tee Shop and even I have filled my mug with water (and used 4 grams from 20 g amount) when I found out that my mother used an agent against scale and told noone. So, I had to toss it out. So sad…
Anyway, this tea is interesting. The base seems weak, and not much flavourful, then some caramel notes appear (I have noticed two caramel cubes in my strainer) and some flavours of salted licorice (common for Finland and my favorite), so in conclusion it tastes a bit like salted caramel tea. I am a little bit sad about the base, however, I have only a sample and something is telling me that if I place another order, I may get more.
Why I always order teas that are weird? Uncommon? Why I can get a common, simple, lemon black tea and I want to try something new/unique/weird?

Common, simple teas are boring! :P But also I think it’s much more difficult to do them well, whereas unique/unusual blends have novelty on their side.
Agreed! I tend to go for weird/uncommon straight teas, sometimes with mixed results. It’s hard to tell whether a Li Shan oolong will be good based on the vendor’s description, but a Li Shan White at least promises to be unique!
Salted licorice tea heck yeah. I love that candy.
Common, simple teas are boring, but at least I know what to expect from them. But when I was placing an order here, at TakeT, I chose mostly blends that sounded interesting, at least in theory. I hope there won’t be much duds.
As of straight teas, I do the same, choosing uncommon teas and often disappointed. They know why the best selling teas are best.
I miss salted licorice. I bought Salmiakki chocolate when I was in Germany, but it’s not like Salmiakki itself :/
