429 Tasting Notes
This is my second note for this tea. It gets a plus for being green and a plus for being organic. Its very easy to drink with jasmine and grassy notes. I sip it in the evening as its very low in caffeine and is very relaxing.
Preparation
This is my second time with Tazo Zen. The first time didn’t go so well. This time was much better. The spearmint taste wasn’t so overpowering. I lowered the water temp and only steeped for 3 minutes and this was a much better cup.
Preparation
This is a much lighter version of Earl Grey with lemon and orange added. Its actually very easy to drink and very light. My wife likes this tea so I thought I would try it this morning and I am pleasantly surprised. I like the stronger EG’s, but I really enjoyed this tea.
Preparation
This is a delicate chai tea. Its not overpowering at all. You can taste the cinnamon, ginger and cardamon in this tea. It has light peppery notes. It is much lighter than the black chai teas and for me a lot easier to drink. I really enjoyed this tea and so did my wife who is a coffee drinker. I will be drinking more of this tea.
Preparation
This tea has a natural sweetness to it. It tastes very nutty. It has a dark brown color and reminds me of a good Hojicha. I’m sitting here watching the football game sipping this tea while everyone else is drinking beer and thinking I’m nuts. This is a tea I could drink all day, its that good and very inexpensive.
Preparation
First thing you need to know is that this is one of my favorite teas and I am very biased.
I love the smell of it out of the tin and it seems to have the perfect amount of bergamot in it. You can smell the bergamot when steeping and its not the overpowering smell that many EG’s have. Too much bergamot in a tea is not a good thing to me. Its also very inexpensive and can be found almost everywhere. This is the tea I reach for when I need to unwind. I like the bagged version and use it mornings when I am in a hurry but the loose tea version is just so much better. I have tried hundreds of EG’s , but this is the tea I judge the others on. Its just a classic.
Preparation
This tea has a nice smell to it, however after steeping it seems a little on the weak side as far as chai teas go. Its still a very good sipping tea with a little sweetener added. I can taste the cardamon and smell the coconut and it has a little pepper in it. I just love the tin that the tea comes in. I will reuse it and I may buy this tea again but for me I have had more spicy chai teas.
Preparation
I found this at T.J. Maxx on sale no less. Its not a strong tea and it holds up without milk or sugar. You sure can taste the apple. No aftertaste and its not bitter. Its hit or miss with teas at TJMaxx and I may never see this tea again, but it can be ordered online at David Rio.
Preparation
This is a delicate green tea with hints of Jasmine. This is not a strong tea. I’m drinking it in the evenings when I wind down. I drink this tea with 1/2 tsp of raw cane sugar. I found this tea at T.J.Maxx, very inexpensive.
