429 Tasting Notes
Dec. 23
I could smell the strawberries as soon as I opened the package. The tea is very creamy, strawberry tasting with a very nice black tea base. I think this tea is my favorite so far and this is a tea I would purchase which is saying a lot for someone who drinks black non flavored tea as much as I do. I really really liked this one.

This tea smells like buttered cinnamon and to me tastes like it also. I’m not sure where the raisins went but I just couldn’t find them. I really liked the black tea base for this one and I really liked the taste overall. Flavored teas are just not my thing but this tea was very enjoyable.
Preparation
This is a very interesting blend of yerba mate and chocolate and it works very well. It does have a kick which tea doesn’t have for me. This is not something I would drink every day but its great once in a while. I really liked it.
Preparation
This is a blend of assam and Kenyan tea which is blended in Belfast. It is a large tea bag without any strings. This is an excellent breakfast tea. I can distinguish both teas in this blend. It is inexpensive ($3 for 80 bags). At 3 minutes it steeps up dark with no bitterness and only slight astringency. I really enjoyed this tea, but then I love strong teas.
Preparation
A green tea with banana and peaches, what will they think of next. This is a sencha that even I can like. Im not a fan of plain sencha but I love this one. I can really taste the banana and the peach is underlying in the background.

This tea does taste like a liquid thin mint cookie. This is a very nice chocolate mint tea. I really enjoyed the taste. I’m usually an assam or yunnan tea drinker so this experience is broadening my tea drinking experience. The good thing is that I’m drinking teas that I normally would not drink. A very nice tea.

All I can say is that I really loved this tea. When steeping, the kitchen smelled like we were baking. The coconut smell was everywhere. This tea is sweet, creamy, and has lots of coconut taste. Very very nice.
Second steep @ 7 minutes was just as good as the first steep. Excellent tea.
Dan – I found that if you steep this a longer period of time, the ice cream-ish flavor really comes through.
I’ll try longer, thanks
