1324 Tasting Notes
Another Sample from Adagio
The packet of this one smells like chocolate-covered cherries with maybe some almond in there.
Brewed up this tea tastes like well cheap dirt with a hint of cocoa and a hint of almond. The resteeping ended up tasting the same. This is probably the first real miss for me from Adagio so far.

Saw this one at Target well on the website and it sounded good based on the ingredients I decided it was worth the risk. Worst case scenario it turns out to be a licorice root bomb. Best case scenario it ends up being a favorite like say Tazo’s Lemon Loaf or Butterscotch Blondie Tea.
Verdict: I need to play with this one some more but this cup was, unfortunately, a licorice root bomb. I added up having to add some oat milk to it.

I wish my local grocers had this one! Maybe I’ll check our Target… I love sarsaparilla (and licorice)!
Mastress Alita, I think you’ll like it. I’m not a licorice fan, but it played nicely with the other ingredients in my cup and didn’t overwhelm too badly. It reminded me of caramel apples. I’ll have to try a round with milk.
Another Sample from Adagio:
This one smells really yummy like the blueberry vitamin waters. Once steeped it tastes a lot like DavidsTea’s Blueberry Jam tea which is one I really enjoy. It’s sweet and you can definitely taste the blueberry flavor. I can’t however taste the white tea base at all. I wouldn’t mind purchasing a larger sample size of this for a future order.

Sipdown #21:
Sipdown Challenge: National Compliment Day/Drink A Favorite Tea
I didn’t quite have enough of this one left for a large mug so I did mix a little bit of another milk oolong I have from The Coffee & Tea Exchange in with this one. (Does anyone know who they source their teas from by the way?) The other one is definitely more of a vegetal quality to it but hopefully, it won’t affect this cup too much. Milk Oolongs in general are a favorite of mine.
This one is somewhat creamy with strong floral notes specifically of orchid, it’s also slightly vegetal, and mineral-y. Wouldn’t recommend drinking this on an empty stomach but that goes for oolongs in general. I think I prefer this one as a latte even though I rarely make them. (drinking this one plain today)
