1324 Tasting Notes
2021 Sipdown: 27
(First sip down of February!)
Another tiny sample from Adagio
The dry leaf of this one smells good
This one definitely has that sort of artificial coconut flavor. It’s making me think of DavidsTea’s CocoMint Tea. So if you like that tea you’d probably like this one as well. I’m not loving this one I just don’t love the flavor profile of the DavidsTea and this one is very similar tasting to me. I am a huge fan of non-flavored Coconut Pouchong teas. Which is why I ordered this one I don’t think I realized it was flavored. So that’s totally on me but I’m still glad I got to try it.
Flavors: Artificial, Coconut, Mint

Sipdown Challenge Black History Month:
Since I don’t currently have a tea from a black-owned tea shop I decided to make a pot of this. This is one of my favorite black teas that I am working on finishing off. I would love to get some more of it though because I think it’s a good one to keep on hand. Malty sweet potato yumminess and all.
Flavors: Cocoa, Honey, Malt, Sweet Potatoes
Preparation
I ordered a sample pouch of this along with a gift for a family member. For some reason, this past year all of the Harney sample sizes always seem to be sold out. This is disappointing since I’ve never had issues ordering in the past. Anyways this was one of maybe three teas that weren’t sold out in this size.
I didn’t have any record of trying this one in the past but upon opening up the bag I realize that I have had this one before! I remember a family member buying a tin of it during a sale. Oh well, at least now I can try it again and make a note of it.This one ended up tasting a bit oversteeped but I remember that from previously trying it. I ended up adding some oat milk to it and it definitely helped it taste less bitter/oversteeped. I don’t usually add milk to teas but the flavors do still come through somewhat. There is a faint chocolate flavor and maybe a tiny bit of coconut. (if your a fan of Soho this one is similar especially with milk added)
Before I added the oat milk I could taste some of the floral notes as well.
This tea is a bit too finicky for me and I don’t really think the flavors blend well here but that could just be because of the base. I didn’t love the coconut flavor in Soho and it seems to be the same one used here.
Flavors: Chocolate, Coconut, Floral

I noticed the same last time I went window shopping their site, and since I have no interest in 4 oz bags (ever), this was a big disappointment for me…
This tea is an odd one so I’ve been putting off writing a note for it but might as well try to describe it. There is a lot going on in this one. I drank this without any milk or sweetener. This tea seems Turkish inspired to me with the combo (pistachio rose, mint, and apple) The apple is tangy and prominent/ as well as the rose hips.
It’s not something I personally would repurchase necessarily (I have two bags of it that I was gifted) I just don’t think it’s a flavor combo I would reach for but I do see how the ingredients fit together. August Uncommon is one of my favorite tea companies because they offer some really unique blends.
Flavors: Apple, Menthol, Nutty, Peppermint, Rose, Rosehips, Tangy, Tart, Wood
