391 Tasting Notes
My second sample from my Butiki Teas order. It’s tasty. I guess because its a white tea, it tastes pretty light and I like the sweetness from the pineapple. I thought the cilantro would make it too herby I guess, but it’s not. I’m not even sure I’ve tasted cilantro by itself, but I taste a little something that I’m assuming is the cilantro but its not overpowering or too strong.
I got this as a sample with my order frm Butiki teas. I wanted to try this to see if it tasted something like these old Tamarind flavored candies I had when I was a kid going to grandma’s house. I was a little disappointed drinking it hot – taste was faint, it was more like it when I’d added sugar…And now that I’m just sitting around, the aftertaste of the tamarind is stronger and more like the flavor I remember. It’s pretty good. :) I appreciate that it brings back vague memories of childhood lol. Where are those candies now? I can’t even remember the wrapper, just the slight pink candy itself… so not helpful.
My first Butiki Teas tea. I was still so tired this morning I thought it’d be a good time to try this one out. I’ve never had a guayusa before but a non-jittery caffeine boost is what I needed. Today we were in for question and answer sessions so I wanted to be alert. It did make me more alert but I still got a little jittery, though it could also be that I was nervous to be interviewed. The effect was not long lasting for me today I got sooo tired in the afternoon I thought I might actually fall asleep in the hallway.
The flavor was a nice balanced blend of vanilla mint, the lavender was not noticeable much for me. I liked it, made me think of cookies and cupcakes… Mmm.
